“Any Update?”: Baltimore Ravens Fans Puzzled by 2x-Pro Bowlers Cryptic Post

The Baltimore Ravens’ defense struggled tremendously last season, allowing the ninth-most total yards and the third-most passing yards while recording the third-fewest sacks. Nnamdi Madubuike’s prolonged absence played a significant role in those struggles. Madubuike suffered an undisclosed neck injury in Week 2, which led to his placement on season-ending injured reserve ahead of Week 4, and raised concerns that the injury could be career-threatening.

“I can’t really discuss that, obviously,” DeCosta said, via Clifton Brown via the team’s website.

“I will say, not having Nnamdi this year was a horrible situation for our team. I think it affected us in different ways – in many ways. He is a great player, a great person, a special person. We are still working through a lot of his different ideas and things so that we can hopefully get more and more information about his situation.”

Madubuike has posted two cryptic tweets on over the past week.

On Friday, Nnamdi Madubuike posted on X with the caption “Good news (praying emoji).” On Tuesday, he followed up with another cryptic message: “You either quit or keep going. They both hurt. Choose wisely.”

This post has sent Ravens fans into a frenzy, leaving them confused and unsure whether it means Madbuike will play in 2026 or announce his retirement. Many, if not all, fans are concerned about his long-term health, as neck injuries can be career-threatening and have lasting effects.
