The Baltimore Ravens have had a difficult off-season. While some players have left in free agency, the main headache comes from Lamar Jackson. The former MVP quarterback has voiced his displeasure with the team and has asked for a trade. Now, the Ravens have to figure out what they are doing at quarterback for 2023 and they may be looking at the draft. They are hosting Anthony Richardson in the coming weeks in order to see if he would be a good fit.

Baltimore Ravens To Target Anthony Richardson?
Richardson has his pro day in Gainesville today but will meet with several teams after that. The Panthers, Colts, Titans, Falcons, and Raiders join the Ravens on the list of teams that he will meet within the coming weeks. Richardson was the star of the combine and vaulted himself into the conversation about being worthy of a top-10 pick. The athletic ability of Richardson is most likely what the Ravens are interested in. The offense is built for an athletic quarterback and Richardson would fit the bill.

Can The Ravens Actually Get Him?
This is where the problem lies. The Panthers and the Texans are most likely going to take a quarterback with the top two picks. Richardson might be off the board by pick number three. If he does make it out of the first two picks, the Colts, Raiders, Titans, and Falcons all pick ahead of the Ravens at no. 22. Could they trade up? Again, this is a huge problem. The Ravens only have five picks in the 2023 draft. They would have to mortgage a lot of the future in order to get ahead of a lot of these teams. For a team that has many holes besides quarterback, this might not be the smartest idea.
This is an unprecedented situation. If the Baltimore Ravens were to land Anthony Richardson, it might soften the blow slightly of losing Jackson.
