Bad Bunny’s Spanish-Led Super Bowl LX Halftime Performance Smashes All-Time Record

Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny made history at Super Bowl LX in Levi’s Stadium, California. His halftime performance drew a record-breaking 135.4 million viewers according to early reports from NBC. This makes it the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show ever, and the numbers are expected to grow even higher.

Bad Bunny was the first solo Latin artist to lead the halftime show and the first to sing mostly in Spanish. The NFL picked him to highlight Latin culture and attract fans from around the world. Before the event, his Apple Music press conference set a record with over 63 million views from live streams and short clips.

The show was a lively tribute to Puerto Rican traditions. It started with a scene of sugar cane fields and featured a mix of his popular songs, including “Tití Me Preguntó,” “Yo Perreo Sola,” “Party,” and “Gasolina.”

Special guests Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin joined for parts, including a salsa dance and a song about protecting cultural identity.

Bad Bunny shared an inspiring message in Spanish, “My name is Benito Martinez Ocasio. And if I’m here today at Super Bowl LX, it’s because I never, never stopped believing in myself. You should also believe in yourself. You’re worth more than you think. Believe me.”

The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX by beating the New England Patriots 29-13 on February 8, 2026. This was the Seattle Seahawks’ second championship.

The victory came from a strong performance by their defense, dubbed the “Dark Side.” They were able to tackle the Patriots’ quarterback, Drake Maye, six times and took the ball away from him three times.

Bad Bunny’s numbers that broke records

NBC’s preliminary figure of 135.4 million viewers already tops Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 record of 133.5 million. Experts think the final count could reach 135 to 142 million once views from streaming services like Peacock, Disney+, and Telemundo are added. These extra platforms will be confirmed soon through official ratings.

The broadcast reached 10 more countries than in recent years, attracting new audiences from Latin America and other regions. To compare, Usher’s 2024 show had 123.4 million viewers, and Rihanna’s in 2023 drew 121 million. The full Super Bowl game is likely to have over 125 million total viewers, following usual patterns.

Bad Bunny’s success shows how the Super Bowl halftime can connect people across cultures. His music, with billions of streams on platforms like Spotify, helped make this a global moment. For NFL fans, it proves that diverse acts can draw huge crowds and set new standards in entertainment.
