Week 1 Outcome The Panthers suffered a heartbreaking loss in the Baker Mayfield revenge game, as Cleveland kicked a game-winning field goal in the final seconds to secure a 26-24 win in Week 1. This game was sloppy from the start for Carolina, with Baker Mayfield and the offensive line leading the charge to mediocrity. However, they picked it up dramatically in the second half, erasing a 13-point Cleveland lead in the fourth quarter to go up 24-23 with 1:17 remaining. That was their first lead of the game, and they couldn’t keep it.  A controversial roughing the passer call…

Both Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold got first-half snaps in Carolina’s 23-21 win. The Panthers’ starting defense looked stout, forcing a three-and-out and a fumble in the first quarter.  Mayfield then led Carolina on a 13-play drive to start the game off with a field goal. Darnold stepped in after that, leading a 3-play TD drive from the Commanders’ 19, taking advantage of an Antonio Gibson fumble. Carolina ended the half with a 10-6 lead after a solid…

This is what NFL Analyst Lance Zierlein had to say on Cook’s game prior to the draft: “James has his brother’s one-cut talent and ability to stack cuts seamlessly through the second level,” Zierlein said. “He can also be used as a mismatch option as a pass-catcher.” The 5’11”…

With Tyreek Hill gone, the Chiefs have 159 targets up for grabs this season. What was once considered the most electric offense in football without question is now gaining skepticism from fans and analysts. The toughest division in the NFL awaits the Super Bowl LIV champions in 2022, and they have a brand-new receiving corps.  Headlined by former Steeler, and current TikTok, standout Juju Smith-Schuster, the Chiefs have put together a decent receiver room. They also added deep threat specialist Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency before drafting speedster Skyy Moore in the second round of this year’s draft. All these…

This is the season to wait on a quarterback in fantasy football. With significant moves from quarterbacks, receivers and coaching staffs in the offseason, this year’s fantasy rankings are irrelevant as ever. Nobody knows for sure which QB will emerge under new coaching or with new weapons.  That being said, a lot of field generals aren’t being given enough respect by fantasy rankings, and there’s definitely a theme to their prejudice. Here are a few late-round quarterbacks in new situations that are primed to outperform their ADP this season.  Russell Wilson ESPN RANK: QB10, ADP: 88 Russell Wilson in the…

Clemson’s offense was unusually bad last season. They ranked last in the ACC in passing efficiency as well as 100th in the FBS in total offense, according to Yahoo Sports. Their biggest weakness was the downfield passing attack, as quarterback DJ Uiagalelei completed just 56% of his passes. The sophomore threw just nine touchdowns and 10 picks en route to a 10-3 finish.  It was a far cry from the Trevor Lawrence or Deshaun Watson days when the Tigers were near the top of the FBS in most offensive categories, from efficiency to yardage. That being said, Dabo Swinney won’t let…
