Hurricane Ian is a category three hurricane. It’s currently in the gulf of Mexico off the west coast of Florida. Experts say that hurricane Ian could strengthen to a category four by Tuesday evening. The hurricane is forcing the Florida Gators to re-schedule their Saturday game in Gainesville against Eastern Washington. However, hurricane Ian is only forcing the game back by one day. University officials moved the game from Saturday, October first, to Sunday, October second. Additionally, the official Gator football Twitter account noted that all tickets purchased for Saturday will be honored on Sunday. Head coach Billy Napier also…

In his press conference on Monday, Florida head coach Billy Napier was very calm and composed after the loss to Tennessee. He didn’t carry himself like a coach that just dropped a second conference game. Billy Napier showed absolutely no panic on Monday. Billy Napier On His Defense In Loss To Tenessee The Florida defense was a hot topic of discussion at the Monday morning press conference. However, the defense earned every bit of the scrutiny they’re receiving. Billy Napier called a great game on offense, Anthony Richardson threw for a career-high in yards, and the special teams even recovered…

Earlier this week Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll suggested he would open up the offense for Geno Smith. He indeed let Geno Smith cook this week against the Falcons. Geno had a lot of shaky moments, and the end result is disappointing but on the other hand, it wasn’t that bad. First Half Of The Game For Geno Smith It’s fair to say that Geno Smith was cooking in the first half.  In just the first half, Geno Smith had 218 yards and two touchdowns passing on 18 completions of 25 attempts. Geno was on time getting the ball…

Anthony Richardson needs to do better. But what does Anthony Richardson need to do better, specifically? It’s a number of things—a lot of rookie mistakes. Anthony Richardson’s age has shown a lot. Additionally, it’s apparent that he has lost a lot of confidence.  Some of the playcalling seems to make Richardson uncomfortable as well. Play Calling Needs To Be Better First off, Billy Napier runs a good-looking offense. If he ran it from under center, it would look similar to a pro-style offense. His run designs are innovative. To illustrate, look at the big holes the Gator tailbacks are running…

There are major injuries on the Seattle defense. Two starters on defense will miss multiple weeks. One in the secondary and one on the defensive line. Missing veteran starters at multiple levels of the defense is a recipe for disaster. Alton Robinson (Knee) Defensive end Alton Robinson suffered a knee injury in Seattle’s final pre-season game. He sprained his knee landing awkwardly and did not play in Seattle’s home opener. On Monday he was placed on injured reserve. Head coach Pete Carroll said that the injury could turn into a long-term issue. Robinson is one of Seattle’s best pass rushers.…

This offseason, I was ready to fire Pete Carroll. The Seattle Seahawks have been in decline for a few years now. The dismantling of the Legion Of Boom was the beginning of the end. The dismantling of the roster was completed with the sudden release of Bobby Wagner and the Russell Wilson trade. Pete Carroll is currently the oldest active NFL head coach. I indeed thought he was past his prime and had lost his touch. Additionally, his defenses had lost their edge and of course, the playcalling had gone stale. I was ready to fire Pete Carroll and bring…

The Seattle Seahawks were written off this offseason. By fans and analysts alike. But tonight, they made a huge statement by sending Russel Willson back to Denver with a big L. The game was close but it wasn’t a nail-biter. Seattle lead from wire to wire and sent Russel packing. First Quarter For Seattle Against Russell Geno Smith was treated as if he was inept all off-season. He came out on fire. He definitely felt he had something to prove. On the first drive of the game, he made two accurate throws under pressure. He worked the pocket efficiently and…

It’s no secret that the Seahawks are going to lose a lot of games this NFL season. The roster is one of the weakest the Seahawks have had in years. A lot of rookies will start on both sides of the ball. some of the young guys may pleasantly surprise us. However, we should expect growing pains. The Seahawks Are Going To Start Rookies The Seahawks are expected to start rookies Charles Cross, Abraham Lucas, and Tariq Woolen.  The three of them play critical positions on the field. Cross plays left tackle, Lucas plays right tackle, and additionally Woolen plays…

As disappointing as defeat is, it gives you opportunities to learn and improve. and the Gators certainly have plenty to improve upon after the Kentucky loss. There was a lot of bad. A lot. However, there were also several things that gave me hope. Special Teams Improvements In week one, Florida kick returners brought several kicks out of the endzone resulting in horrible field position. The Kentucky loss started off the same way. The returner brought the ball out of the endzone and the first drive began at the 17-yard line instead of the 25. This may seem insignificant but…
