Jayhawk Fans are Optimistic After a productive off-season, a season-opening win, and a dominant performance from Lonnie Phelps, Jayhawk fans are optimistic.  With a 56-10 win over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, Kansas looked good for the first time in awhile. Preseason recognition continues for Kenny Logan Jr Preseason recognition continues for Kenny Logan Jr, a 4th year Safety from St Augustine FL. Logan Jr is one of 52 players named to the preseason Paul Hornung Award watch list.  He returns punts and kickoffs for the Jayhawks, averaging 27.4 yds per kickoff, and 5.6 yds per punt, in addition to starting a Safety.
