Being on the inside of the Chiefs Kingdom fanbase gives a very interesting perspective on how the rest of the league views the Kansas City Chiefs. A once poor to slightly average team, the Chiefs have earned some serious disdain from the rest of the NFL. The beginning of this outside perspective of the Chiefs began in 2013. The Comeback-Franchise: Andy Reid and Alex Smith Join the Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 acquired Alex Smith for the 34th overall pick of that draft. Andy Reid had been brought on as the head coach for that season as well,…

In the NFL, a rivalry game is some of the best football to watch. The Kansas City Chiefs have two main rivals; the Las Vegas Raiders and the Denver Broncos. Obviously, your inter-divisional opponents will come to be your toughest competition. However, another rival with an unorthodox history also opposes the Chiefs. One such rivalry was actually created instead of inherited. The Los Angeles Rams started out as the Cleveland Rams in 1936. The team competed in the AFL before relocating to LA in 1946. The NFL has entered a new era at the quarterback position. While Tom Brady continues to pile onto his GOAT status, the younger guys are slowly taking over. The Core Four is composed of Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. All four of the previously mentioned quarterbacks finished in the top 10 for passing yards last season. There are individual chips on the shoulders of each of these guys heading into the 2022 season. It’s undeniable though: each one of them can throw a football. A major theme for the Kansas City Chiefs is how much their defense can give them. PFF has recently been releasing their pre-season rankings for the 2022 season. Two categories that have been released are secondary rankings and defensive line rankings. The Chief’s secondary is ranked at 14, and the defensive line ranked in the bottom-half at 25.  An offense that looked beatable for the first time since the Chiefs AFC reign began relying more on its defense. While fans let the offensive side sort things out, the defensive side of the ball received far less leniency.  A defense that…
