The Buffalo Bills are closing in on their window where they need to find a way to dethrone Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC or risk losing the window to maximize an ultra-talented roster led by one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, Josh Allen. While they have reached the playoffs the last five seasons in a row, which included two (13-3) and another two (11-6) finishes during that span, they haven’t been able to get past an AFC Championship and have only reached that point in the playoffs once over the last five seasons.…

College football has undergone massive changes over the last few years — and in many ways — the sport isn’t remotely close to the same that it was just five years ago. Since NIL allowed student athletes to monetize their name, image and likeness and the transfer portal allows players to change schools multiple times, the sport has turned into the Wild West with no real regulation or rules when it comes to those two areas specifically. On Monday, The Athletic published a piece where it interviewed college football coaches, assistants, agents, staffers and players to provide a unique behind-the-scenes…

Travis Kelce has made a significant leap in terms of stardom in 2024. For more than a decade, anyone who slightly paid attention to the NFL was familiar with the Kansas City Chiefs dynamic tight end who was Patrick Mahomes’ go-to pass-catcher in the current dynasty run under head coach Andy Reid But then Taylor Swift entered the equation. Suddenly, millions of people that had never tuned into an NFL game (yes, they do exist), began learning about Kelce as it became public he was dating the biggest, most iconic superstar in the world. Travis Kelce has continued to play…

The Dallas Cowboys did it yet again and Dak Prescott — with the season on the line and legitimate expectations for a Super Bowl run from smart people both inside the Dallas building and media/analysts from outside — believed this 2023 squad was different. Why? Prescott was in the discussion for NFL MVP this season and closed out arguably the best regular season of his career. The Cowboys entered Saturday’s wildcard round matchup as two-score favorites over the Green. Bay Packers, who have a first-year starting QB and the youngest roster in the NFL. Dak Prescott closed out the 2023…

The Dallas Cowboys always have some of the most fascinating storylines in the NFL, but heading into 2024, it’s almost impossible to predict what Jerry Jones and company have planned. If you listen to Jones, he’s sticking by his statement that Dallas is going “all in” for 2024 with the goal to finally get over the playoff hump and secure another Lombardi Trophy. That logic made sense following the Cowboys’ early exit from the playoffs. They had a team loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and their franchise QB Dak Prescott, was leading the MVP conversation for…

The New Orleans Saints signed free agent Junior Galette to a free agent deal after the Temple pass rusher wasn’t selected during the 2010 NFL Draft. His energetic play made him a fan favorite during the preseason, and after he blocked a punt and registered two sacks in the Saints’ final preseason game, Galette was selected for the Saints’ 53-man regular season roster in 2010. Over the next few years, Galette found his way into the starting lineup and shined as a pass rusher for the Saints. https://youtu.be/kpWkLEeFfnA?si=GJ7u4FDrcKkqNqku In the 2013 season, Galette signed a 3-year deal worth up to…

The Philadelphia Eagles have completely transformed the organization since Chip Kelly was the team’s head coach from 2013-2015. After turning Oregon into an offensive powerhouse in college football, Kelly agreed to terms with the Eagles to become the team’s head coach on January 16, 2013. Although general manager Howie Roseman ran the team’s drafts and free agency signings in his first two seasons with the team, Kelly had the final say over the 53-man roster. His predecessor, Andy Reid, also had the title and/or powers of general manager for most of his tenure. In his first season, Kelly reversed the Eagles’…

The Cleveland Browns selected Buster Skrine in the fifth round (137th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.  Skrine was the 20th cornerback drafted in 2011. On July 30, 2011, the Browns signed Skrine to a four-year, $2.24 million contract that included $202,000 guaranteed. Over the next few seasons, Skrine cemented himself as the starting cornerback opposite of Joe Haden. But after a strong showing in 2014, he came to a crossroads with the Cleveland Browns ahead of the 2015 season. Skrine completed the 2014 season with 67 combined tackles (55 solo), a career-high 18 pass deflections, and a career-high four…

The New York Jets learned their lesson the hard way last season when they bet all their chips on Aaron Rodgers without having any real plan if their new franchise QB got hurt. Obviously everyone knows how that ended up. The Jets looked like they’d be a very solid contender before the season began and many believed they could contend for a Super Bowl. But, just four plays into the season, starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with a season-ending Achilles injury. The New York Jets never really recovered from that, and both Wilson and Tim Boyle tried to lead…
