The Kansas City Chiefs can’t get a break, but nobody in the NFL world is feeling bad for them as they prepare to attempt to win their third-straight Super Bowl. The Chiefs have dominated headlines this offseason —but the storylines haven’t been about football — and there seems to be one controversy after the next with the Super Bowl champs. For the last two months, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been in the news and his availability in 2024 is a major question mark as of now. Rice was a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft…

The Dallas Cowboys entered the offseason with several franchise-altering moves expected to be made, but here we are at the start of May, and little has been done to bolster a roster that lost significant talent on both sides of the ball. Owner Jerry Jones has made it clear the Cowboys are going “all-in” for 2024 and decided to retain Mike McCarthy for one more season to see if he can get Dallas past the first round in the playoffs and possibly reach the Super Bowl expectations Jones expects. Prescott was in the discussion for NFL MVP this season and…

The Kansas City Chiefs are attempting to pull off an almost impossible feat by winning three Super Bowls in a row. Heading into a season with so much on the line, the organization would ideally like to avoid as many distractions as possible heading into 2024, but the opposite has been true. The Chiefs have dominated headlines this offseason —but the storylines haven’t been about football — and there seems to be one controversy after the next with the Super Bowl champs. For the last two months, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been in the news and…

The Houston Texans are suddenly one of the most polarizing teams in the NFL — and after last year’s breakthrough performance — they are no longer viewed as the underdog like they were last season. After winning just three games in 2022 and four games in both 2021 and 2020, the Texans made the decision to bring in former 49ers defensive coordinator Demeco Ryans as their head coach ahead of last season. Ryans was once a star linebacker for the Texans and was widely regarded as one of the top coaching  candidates of last year’s cycle. While many people in…

The Minnesota Vikings are in win-now mode, even though they will be taking the field without Kirk Cousins at QB, who has operated the offense at an extremely high level over the last few years and was on track to be in the MVP conversation before tearing his Achilles last season. Instead, Kevin O’Connell — who is regarded in NFL circles as an offensive savant similar to Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan —will trust either Sam Darnold or rookie J.J. McCarthy to lead the Vikings’ offense in 2024. While the organization still has to lock down a long-term contract extension…

The Washington Commanders have completely revamped the culture that led to more than two decades of losing and year after year, fans bolted due to all of the drama, toxicity and turmoil both on and off the field. Washington has reached the playoffs just three times since 2008 and only six times since 1999. The organization has been the definition of mediocrity and hasn’t won more than 8 games in a season since 2015, when Kirk Cousins led the then Redskins to a (9-7) regular season finish but they were knocked off by the Green Bay Packers 35-18 in the…

The Dallas Cowboys have earned the nickname “America’s team” for a reason. Year after year, they are the most polarizing team in the NFL and their fan base stretches across the United States and even throughout the world. Heading into 2024, there is more attention on the Cowboys than ever. Jerry Jones is entering the new season without giving their franchise QB, Dak Prescott, a contract extension. He will play 2024 under the final year of his contract — and unless he can harness the playoff demons that have plagued him in his NFL career and lead Dallas on a…

The Dallas Cowboys are prepping for one of the most important seasons in nearly two decades. With Dak Prescott playing out the final year of his contract and Jerry Jones making the decision not to extend head coach Mike McCarthy, 2024-2025 feels like the season Dallas needs to tame the dragon and make a significant run toward a Super Bowl. Even though it’s only May, it feels like if the Cowboys don’t reach at least the NFC Championship game, Jones is prepared to move on from Prescott, McCarthy and reset the entire organization. Beyond those two key figures, the Dallas…

The Dallas Cowboys are entering one of the most pivotal seasons in the last decade or two of the organization’s history. For the last several years, Jerry Jones has attempted to build a roster that could bring another Super Bowl to the most popular franchise in the NFL. The Cowboys haven’t reached a Super Bowl since 1995, when they defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-17. Since then, Jones has done everything imaginable to try to build a franchise good enough to add another Lombardi Trophy to the case, but the  Cowboys have fallen short time and time again. Despite reaching the…

The college football community got hit with some tragic news on Tuesday night. The University of South Florida Football program is in mourning this week over the loss of Mike Ford. The former running back passed away, according to Tampa Bay Times’ Joey Knight, on Tuesday afternoon. He was just 38-years-old. Ford was regarded as one of the top prospects from the Sarasota-Bradenton area when he joined USF’s football team. For a stretch of eleven games, he ran for more than 200 yards. Mike Ford was a Florida native who was a standout running back in high school before taking…
