The Big Ten West Illinois Chase Brown. The Illini’s thousand-yard rusher returns and looks to be the strength that the team leans on. A Brett Bielema-coached football team wants to run the ball, run the ball, and then run the ball some more. The guy to lead that charge is Jon Cornish Trophy Candidate (the award given to college football’s best Canadian player) Chase Brown. EAST Indiana Jack Tuttle and Connor Bazelak are in a tight race for starting quarterback for the Hoosiers. The Missouri transfer, Bazelak looks to have the lead as he has more time on the field to give him an edge. Bazelak completed 479 of his 722 passes for 5,058 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions during his time as the Tigers’ signal caller.
