2021 Offensive Line Last season, the Michigan Wolverines Offensive Line won the Joe Moore Award for the best OL in the country. But can it be even better in 2022? With LT Ryan Hayes, LG Trevor Keegan, and RG Zak Zinter returning, there’s a solid foundation they bring back. The two pieces they will have to replace are former starting Center Andrew Vastardis and RT Andrew Steuber, drafted by the New England Patriots in the 7th round. While Vastardis and Steuber both started a lot of games for the Wolverines, neither of them were considered great athletes for the ir…

Public perception will tell you Ohio State has by far the best WR group in the Big Ten, and perhaps even the country. Even while losing Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave as 1st Round Picks in last year’s NFL Draft, the Buckeyes return Superstar WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba to lead the group as the obvious #1 option, as he caught 95 passes for 1,606 yards, and 9 TD’s as a Sophomore. The question I have for the Buckeyes is who will step up as their number 2 and 3 WR’s in 2022? There’s certainly a bevy of talented options to choose…

In this edition of Lucas’ Locks, I’ll be combing over my favorite Over/Under Win totals for the Pac-12. For the sake of the article, I used BetMGM’s win total numbers. I picked only five that I actually felt confident enough to bet my own money on, and here they are: Utah – Over/Under 9 Wins I’ll start with my personal pick for the Pac-12 Champion, the Utah Utes. Coming off a really good 2021 season where they Won the Pac-12 and finished 10-4. From that team, they return 13 starters including veteran QB Cameron Rising who took over as the…

Hassan Haskins Departs Last season, Hassan Haskins set the program record for 20 TD’s and also ran for 1,327 yards for the Big Ten Champion Michigan Wolverines. He led a methodical, grinding Michigan rushing attack that would wear out opponents with his punishing running style. Despite losing Hassan Haskins to the NFL, the Michigan running back room is set up to have a big 2022 season as well. They return a young, dynamic duo in Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards to headline what should be another strong Michigan rushing attack in 2022. Blake Corum Becomes RB1 Blake Corum in particular…

Last season, the Michigan Wolverines won the Big Ten and advanced to the College Football Playoffs.  They were led by Starting QB Cade McNamara. While he started every game for Michigan’s offense, he wasn’t asked to do much of the heavy lifting. He was 7th in the Big Ten in yards,  6th in the Big Ten in TD’s, and he was 5th in the Big Ten in QB Rating. These are rather pedestrian numbers, but McNamara did was Michigan’s offense asked him to do in 2021. Meanwhile; JJ McCarthy was mostly sprinkled in as  a change of pace to give…
