Billy Napier and the rest of the Florida staff have been on fire on the recruiting trail as of late, and last night was a terrific example. At 12:07a.m. we received some of the most shocking recruiting news of the 2023 cycle. Long time Miami QB commit Jaden Rashada announced that he would be flipping his commitment to Billy Napier and the University of Florida. The announcement comes just five days after Miami was beaten down by Florida State to a tune of 45-3. Rashada had been committed to the Hurricanes since June, making him one of the first players…

Oklahoma has extended another offer in the 2023 class, this one going to three-star EDGE Taylor Wein. In light of Colton Vasek’s decommitment, the Sooners had to find a replacement. Taylor Wein looks to be that guy. Don’t let his star rating fool you. Wein is a fantastic talent, and is extremely underrated. Just minutes after receiving an offer from Oklahoma, Wein received an offer from the University of Southern California. https://twitter.com/TaylorWein/status/1590415913764806656 https://twitter.com/TaylorWein/status/1590432699625668608 I firmly believe that Wein could end up as a high three-star, or even a low four-star by the end of the cycle. He’s a guy that…

After David Hicks shocked the college football world and committed to Texas A&M on September 28th, many people, especially around the OU program, have wondered if he’d truly end up as an Aggie. As we saw previously with Colton Vasek’s decommitment, it’s Flipmas season, and no program is safe. A&M has had no shortage of struggles this season, needing to win out just to make a bowl game. Will that be enough to dissuade Hicks? On it’s own, probably not. However, Oklahoma is pulling out all the stops to make sure that David Hicks ends up in Norman Where Does…

At 4:00pm on November 8th, long time Oklahoma pledge Colton Vasek flipped his commitment to the University of Texas. Ever since he committed to Oklahoma in August, there has been smoke of him flipping to the Longhorns. For a while it seemed that these were just rumors. Whenever he was asked about his commitment to Oklahoma, he was saying all the right things, stating that he still has 100-percent belief in Coach Chavis and Coach Venables. However, over time, the situation started to shift in Texas’s favor. More and more buzz around Vasek being a Longhorn began to surface. On…

After suffering a loss to TCU in Fort Worth last week, the Sooners are looking for a rebound in the worst kind of way. They have the opportunity to do just that against Texas this week in the 118th edition of the Red River Shootout. Oklahoma has won four of the last five matchups against the Longhorns, and they are looking to extend their winning streak this week. A win could completely revitalize this season for OU, but a loss could ultimately be the kill shot to this teams confidence. Without further hesitation, let’s preview this year’s edition of OU-Texas.…

After a 49-14 drubbing against Nebraska, Oklahoma looks forward to Kansas State this weekend. The Wildcats are coming to Norman after a loss to the Tulane Green Wave, a team that the Sooners narrowly avoided a loss to last season. I fully expect them to come out with somewhat of a “wounded animal” mentality. They have their backs against the wall, and I’m certain that they’d want nothing less than to beat Oklahoma before they join the SEC. Below, you’ll find everything that you need to know about Oklahoma vs Kansas State. Oklahoma vs Kansas State Game Information Current Records: Kansas…

We finally got to see the Sooners in action last Saturday against UTEP, a game in which they won 45-13. You can see further analysis of the game here. This week, Oklahoma faces a new challenger in Kent State. The Golden Flashes were defeated by Washington last week to a tune of 45-20. Click here for the box score. Oklahoma should be able to win in dominating fashion once again this week, although I believe that Kent State may be a better all-around team than UTEP. Without further adieu, let’s preview OU vs Kent State. Oklahoma vs Kent State Game…

Florida State is now 2-0 for the first time 2016. After an unbelievable play to block the PAT against LSU, it feels like the Seminoles finally have some momentum. In my opinion, there were two players that separated themselves from everyone else, and truly put on a show. Those two players are QB Jordan Travis, as well as DE Jared Verse, the topic of this article. Verse was just phenomenal on Sunday night. He racked up three sacks, and was also credited with nine total pressures against the Tigers. Verse received player of the week honors from Pro Football Focus.…

The Sooners come away victorious in their season opener, defeating the UTEP Miners 45-13. We saw some great performances from several players on each side of the ball, but we also saw some that were less than ideal. As a whole, the team ran the ball extremely well, averaging nearly seven yards per carry. They defended the run nearly perfectly, holding UTEP to just 28 rushing yards on the game. We saw some new faces make some absolutely electric plays (yes I’m looking at you Gavin Freeman), but we also got to see some veterans make some magic happen as…

It has been one of the most tumultuous off-seasons in Oklahoma football history. From Lincoln Riley’s departure, to the resignation of Cale Gundy, there has been no shortage of chaos. In spite of this, Oklahoma remains one of the most talented teams in the Big 12, and in a year where it seems like the conference is anybody’s game, they have a great opportunity to make a playoff push. If they can go 12-1 with a conference championship, they can absolutely make the playoffs. Now with it being year one under Brent Venables, a lot would have to go their…
