NFL Offensive Line of The Week (Week 9) My NFL Offensive Line of The Week is the Baltimore Ravens. This is a group that has been incredible over the past few seasons, but definitely have been hampered by injury. Most notably, Pro-Bowl Left Tackle Ronnie Stanley. Stanley returned to action recently and they’ve taken their game to another level. When you add in the play of Rookie 1st Round Draft Pick, Tyler Linderbaum, the group is arguably one of the five best in football. Currently, the Ravens are on a 3 game win streak. They’ve been DOMINANT running the ball.…

NFL Performance of The Week My NFL Performance of The Week for week 8 goes to the Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow. Undoubtedly, this was the easiest pick in both of my weekly award series up until this point in the season. When you have not only a great day, but a historic one, it makes the choice much less stressful. After a less than stellar start to the season, both individually and as a team, the Bengals sat at 2-3 overall & faced an unspeakable amount of pressure. Particularly on offense. They’ve responded in a major way over the last…

NFL Performance of The Week My NFL Performance of The Week for Week 6 goes to one of the greatest to ever do it in Buffalo Bills’ DE Von Miller. Miller, fresh off a Super Bowl victory where he got two sacks (that brought him to a tie for the most all time in SB history) was figured to return to the fold as a mainstay with the Rams. His natural pass rushing ability & arsenal of tools already made for an extremely formidable addition. You pair that with the freedom it gave not only future hall of famer Aaron Donald,…

NFL Offensive Line of The Week My NFL Offensive Line of The Week for Week 6 goes to the Indianapolis Colts. This is a group that has become accustomed to being towards the top of the list when it comes to ranking offensive line play. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case this season. Injury & leach of depth have become a serious issue for this team. Add in a great player, but not the most mobile guys (especially at his age) at quarterback in Matt Ryan, and things could become very tricky. Ryan is one of the most sacked QB’s…

NFL Performance Of The Week My NFL Performance Of The Week for Week 5 goes to none other than New York Jets Lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker. Vera-Tucker was the 14th overall pick in the 2021 draft. Of course, he was highly touted as a prospect coming out of the University of Southern California, but absolutely no one expected him to be as good as he has been this far. He had a very solid rookie year by all accounts. Sure, he struggled early (as most young line lineman do), but by seasons end he’d certainly developed into a very solid player. Subsequently, he was named to…

NFL Offensive Line Of The Week My NFL Offensive Line Of The Week for week five is the New England Patriots. This group has certainly had their ups and downs over the early stages of this season. That being said, the last three weeks they’ve definitely begun to come together as a unit. Honestly, they’ve played like one of the better units in the game the last three weeks. On Sunday, they easily played their best game of the season leading the way for the Patriots to put up 364 yards of offense, 6.5 yards per play, & 5.0 yards per…

NFL OFFENSIVE LINE OF THE WEEK My NFL Offensive Line Of The Week for Week 4 is the Los Angeles Chargers. This is a group that has gone from being projected to be one of the best in the league preseason to one of the most maligned over recent weeks. They’ve had multiple lineups the last three weeks & have had to deal with All-Pro’s Cory Linsley & Rashawn Slater being injured. Although Linsley made his return this past week, Slater was lost for the season. Questions arose as to who would replace such an incredible player in the most…

NFL PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK My NFL Performance Of The Week (Week 4) was an absolute no-brainer. Rookie Offensive Lineman Jamaree Salyer of the Los Angeles Chargers put on an unimaginable performance to most football fans before Sunday. When All-Pro Left Tackle Rashawn Slater went out with a season ending bicep tear, questions arose as to who would step in and fill that presumed massive void. A number of different suggestions, both internal & external, were presented. At the end of the day, Salyer (who played LT at UGA) was tabbed as the man for the job. To properly paint the picture, we need to go back…

NFL Offensive Line Of The Week (W3) My NFL Offensive Line Of The Week (Week 3) is the Jacksonville Jaguars. A group that has been slowly, but surely invested in over the last 5 years is finally starting to put it together. In 2021, they were a very solid group. Ranked amongst the top ten in pressures allowed to be exact. However, with the addition of All-Pro Guard Brandon Scherff & rookie center Luke Fortner, they’ve taken the step from solid to very very good. Going into Sunday, the Chargers defensive line was figured to have the clear advantage. All-Pro…

NFL Performance Of The Week (W3) My NFL Performance Of The Week (Week3) comes from none other than Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback Trevor Lawrence. After a less than stellar rookie campaign riddled with controversy (mostly due to every one other than him), subpar play, losing, and the occasional clear flash of the generational talent he was heralded as, you began to wonder if you’d ever see this guy realize his full potential while in Jacksonville. After hiring Doug Pedersen, drafting well & adding through free agency, the Jaguars went from a laughing stock to semi respectable. However, the success of the…
