Senior Bowl 2023: 5 To Watch Overview: The Reese’s Senior Bowl is a week long post season showcase for prospective NFL players leaving college and entering the NFL draft. The festivities culminate in an all star game played on Saturday. Located in Mobile, Alabama, this game has meant the world to me since I could remember. As an Alabama gulf coast native myself, I was always fortunate to attend this amazing event & the festivities during the week numerous times. One of my fondest memories as a child was watching my uncle, Chris Samuels, play in the game himself. It…

Mahomes left the game while the Chiefs were up 10-7. 37 year old backup quarterback Chad Henne entered for Mahomes for the duration of the 2nd quarter and led the Chiefs to a 98 yard touchdown drive. After receiving the opening kick of the second half, Mahomes re entered the game & led the Kansas City Chiefs to their fifth consecutive AFC Championship game in the 27-20 victory.…

BREAKING: Taulia Tagovailoa Returns for 2023 Season After a historic first two seasons at the helm, Maryland QB Taulia Tagovailoa announces his return to the Terps for the 2023 season. Tagovailoa, the younger brother of soon to be Pro Bowler Tua Tagovailoa, started his career at the University of Alabama with Tua. After the 2019 season, he transferred to the University of Maryland to reunite with the man who recruited him to Alabama, Head Coach Mike Locksley. Since taking over, Taulia, a 2022 2nd Team All-Big 10 selection, has been more prolific than any other passer in Maryland Football history.…

Regular Season NFL Offensive Line Rankings Overview: Earlier this season, I previewed the 5 best offensive lines in the NFL. While three of the five selections held up pretty nicely, one notable team fell out (Buccaneers). The other (Chargers) was decimated due to injury, but still proved to be extremely solid & also served as confirmation of one of my best draft evals to date (Jamaree Salyer). Overall, it was an adjustment year for most OL’s across the league-some due to injury, others due to youth & lack of depth. It was a seesaw year for most offensive systems in general.…

FCS National Championship Preview Date: Sunday, January 8, 2023 Game Time: 2:00 ET Venue: Toyota Stadium, Frisco, TX How To Watch: ABC/ESPN3 Record: #1 Seed South Dakota State (13-1) #3 Seed North Dakota State (12-1) Overview: The FCS National Championship has a different feeling this time around. Yes, we all know how daunting of a task beating North Dakota State is. They’re a giant of the sport, especially at the FCS level. They’re on an unprecedented run of success. To be completely honest, it’s arguably the greatest run in Division 1 football history. They’ve won nine (yes, NINE!!) out of…

Tennessee vs Clemson (Orange Bowl): Date: 12/30 This game is exciting for a multitude of reasons, especially because it’s one of the few non playoff matchups where I believe both teams have SO much to play for. It reminds me a lot of Michigan State vs. Pitt in the Peach Bowl last year. Clemson is sitting at 11-2 & coming off an ACC Championship game win. Tennessee is sitting at 10-2 (their best season since the Phil Fulmer days) & boasting huge wins over Bama & LSU. One team is looking to remind the nation exactly who they are, the…

Weekend College Football Championship Preview Overview: The college football championship landscape looks completely different than it did at the beginning of the season. We’ve had major upsets, historic offensive output over a multitude of conferences, revival of historic programs, & (most notably) the resurgence of the PAC12. Programs like Tennessee, Washington, Kansas State, & USC have enjoyed banner years after a few downtrodden seasons. Programs like Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, & Wisconsin have had less than stellar years after extremely high expectations. Perennial CFP contenders & conference championship mainstays like Alabama, Ohio State, & Oklahoma aren’t playing for their conference…

NFL Performance of The Week (Week 9) My NFL Performance of The Week for Week 9 was an easy choice. While Tua Tagovailoa & Patrick Mahomes had banner days, there’s no way I couldn’t give it Bengals Running Back Joe Mixon. Throughout the first 8 games of the year, Mixon (unfairly) caught lots of criticism. Coming off a year where he amassed over 1500 total yards & 16 total touchdowns, Bengals fans and NFL pundits alike had extremely high expectations. Admittedly, the season hasn’t been up to expectations or the heavy contract he was awarded. However, that’s not solely on Mixon.…
