Pro Bowl Quarterback Tyler Huntley A report this morning from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport announced that Tyler Huntley of the Baltimore Ravens will be replacing Josh Allen at quarterback for the AFC. Although the Pro Bowl this season is not how it was in years past, with the game being seven-on-seven flag football, the event is still a fun atmosphere for most players. https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1620422293896962052?s=20&t=2C31Dv_cScV-WnXMu5E7fA Josh Allen is unable to participate due to his UCL injury sustained in week nine said he needs “rest and recovery”. https://twitter.com/Ravens/status/1620421682321301506?s=20&t=2C31Dv_cScV-WnXMu5E7fA Huntley, who stepped in for Lamar Jackson in week 13, finished the season…

Throughout the first three days of practice at the Shrine Bowl, there have been many standouts for both the Atlanta Falcons coached East team and the New England Patriots coached West team. Again, today both teams practiced outside at UNLV’s Fertitta Center. Many players, on both teams, have really improved their draft stock by participating in the event. East Team Standouts at Shrine Bowl Practice Running Back Tavion Thomas came in at just under 250 pounds but his weight has surely not been a factor as he looks just as fast as he did before he went down against Oregon…

The Patriots will be drafting one spot higher in 2023 than when they last missed the playoffs in the 2020-21 season when Mac Jones was selected 15th overall. The Patriots need help at a few positions but with the possibility of losing Jakobi Meyers to free agency the Patriots should take a flyer on a few players they could select in the first couple of rounds in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. First Round (14th Overall) Under Belichick, the Patriots have only selected a wide receiver once in the first round and have struggled drafting receivers. N’Keal Harry was the…

Last night we witnessed the second installment of the Chiefs vs, Bengals in the AFC Championship game in consecutive years with the Chiefs narrowly escaping on a 45-yard field goal to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl. After watching that game last night, I could not help but think “is this the next great rivalry in football?” Are Mahomes and Burrow the Next Brady vs. Manning For so many years we saw Peyton Manning versus Tom Brady in the AFC with Brady being victorious in 11 of the 17 matchups but Manning got the best of Brady in the…

The annual East West Shrine Bowl is scheduled for February 2nd in Las Vegas, with the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons coaching staff leading the charge for both teams. The Patriots coaching staff will be in charge of the west but there is a name on the coaching staff that has been left off, Matt Patricia. Patricia is the only coach from the 2022 season who is left off the coaching staff for the Shrine Bowl, outside of Steve Belichick who will be attending but is expecting the birth of his child, but why was Patricia left off?…

After the hiring of Bill O’Brien yesterday, the New England Patriots signed their own death warrant when it comes to possibly trading for DeAndre Hopkins this off season. Although we saw the heartfelt video between Bill Belichick and Hopkins from when the Patriots faced off against the Cardinals and how highly both have spoken about each other; Billy OB’s return to Foxboro completely ensures that Hopkins will not be calling Gillette Stadium his home for the foreseeable future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZZOYOZ92So&ab_channel=CBSSportsHQ The Reality of the Situation Between DeAndre Hopkins & O’Brien There was an NFL executive yesterday who was reported saying that…

Everyone who watched the New England Patriots this past season realized that Bill Belichick bit off more than he could chew. Having two former failed coaches tag teaming the offensive gameplan and play calling proved to be the wrong decision for the Patriots, shockingly enough. With Patriots fans begging for an actual offensive coordinator this offseason, news broke this morning of Bill O’Brien’s return to Foxboro. O’Brien Returns for Second Stint as Patriots Offensive Coordinator O’Brien, who served as the Alabama Crimson Tide’s OC for the past two seasons, held this position with the Patriots back in 2011. During O’Brien’s…

Even though the pain still stings that the Patriots will not be in the playoffs this year, I choose to focus on next season and not on the peaks and valleys of this season. Although there are many things that need to be fixed for the New England Patriots to become a championship contending, free agency can expedite the process. Free agency can be seen as making improvements to your team but also your team can also be slashed and gashed by other teams poaching your homegrown and acquired talent. With the Patriots having 19 free agents this offseason, there…

After the Patriots had a chance to clinch the seventh seed in the AFC with a victory yesterday, today feelings about the New England Patriots are mixed. The effort was there for sure yesterday and you cannot deny that but the execution, especially on special teams, was lacking. From the start the Patriots were behind the eight ball as they allowed Nyheim Hines to take the opening kickoff back for a touchdown.   https://twitter.com/ScottSwenson4/status/1612467925402746884?s=20&t=rA_TzWJpzVcsoIiqa47KvA Anyone would have figured that Highmark Stadium would have a palpable energy after the incident that happened the prior week to Damar Hamlin but allowing that kick…
