MichiThe two-headed monster in the Wolverine’s backfield looked better than ever, Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards who totaled a combined 339 rushing yards, against a Penn State defense that was ranked fifth in the nation against the run. Another dominant win for the Wolverines in the Big House, this time against number ten ranked Penn State. The defense and running game picked up right where they left off last week putting up great performances again. The Wolverines defense was stellar again leading them to a dominate 41-17 victory over Penn State, allowing only one offensive touchdown, and allowing only 268…

Despite a poor offensive performance, the Gators picked up their second straight win, this time in their homecoming game against Missouri. The defense played a great game that led to the victory. Two interceptions of Missouri quarterback Brady Cook including one being a pick-six, on top of four sacks by four different players helped the Gators to a 24-17 win over the Tigers. This is the second straight week that Florida’s defense had given up under 20 points after giving up at least 25 in each of their first four games. Another week, another stifling defensive showing from the Wolverines. This game marks the fifth time in six weeks that the Wolverine’s defense has given up 14 points or less. With a dominating 31-10 win over the Indiana Hoosiers. On top of another great defensive performance, there was another great game on the ground for Blake Corum, who continues to push his way into contention for the Heisman trophy. However, unlike the game against Iowa last week, the passing game looked good as well with J.J. McCarthy returning to form. Wolverine’s Offensive Stars Watching the game there were three players who…

After an off week against Maryland last week, the Wolverine’s defense returned to form against Iowa. The Hawkeyes scored a last-minute touchdown to make the final score 27-14, however, the Wolverine’s defense looked stifling all game shutting down the Hawkeyes in almost every drive. The pass rush looks like they haven’t missed a beat after two of the best rushers in college left for the draft, and the secondary holding their own as well. If the Wolverine’s defense continues to look dominant it may be enough to contend for a spot in the playoffs once again. Looking back at week…

What. A. Game. The offenses came to play in Knoxville today, both of the offenses looked great and both quarterbacks looked especially good. The Gators nearly had a miracle when they recovered the onside kick with 17 seconds left, however with no timeouts and needing a touchdown the time proved to be too much of a factor. Let’s look at some of the Gators who had standout performances in todays 38-33 loss to the Volunteers. Gator Standouts Offense Where else to start but the quarterback, Anthony Richardson. What a performance by Richardson today he was 24 of 44 for 453…

This week was the first week of Big 10 play for the Wolverines, and they did not disappoint picking up the win 34-27 over the Maryland Terrapins. The real story this week, however, was Blake Corum. Just one week removed from his five-touchdown performance against UCONN, Corum showed up against the Terrapins, rushing 30 times for 243 yards and two touchdowns. https://twitter.com/UMichFootball/status/1573754254384250882 Can a Running Back Really Win the Heisman?  While it certainly is not easy to win a Heisman as a running back with the number of times teams have been throwing the ball in recent years, it is…

Despite lackluster performances from both quarterbacks, the Gators defeated the Bulls 31-28 in the Swamp. Both teams had strong ground games with three runners eclipsing 100 yards rushing. Gators Offense Florida’s Quarterback Anthony Richardson who went 10 of 18 for 112 yards against the Bulls The Gators were led by a strong ground game with Montrell Johnson Jr. rushing six times for 103 yards and a touchdown. Johnson’s touchdown came on a 62-yard rush that put a stamp on his great rushing night. Two other Gators running…
