The Dallas Cowboys had a disaster in Wednesday’s practice. This comes in the form of undrafted rookie wide receiver David Durden being forced to exit the field after suffering what appears to be a significant leg injury. Cowboys Rookie David Durden Carted Off Field During Wednesday’s Practice ESPN league insider Todd Archer was one of the first to break the news on Twitter: “Undrafted WR David Durden is being carted off the field with an apparent leg injury during 1 on 1 work. Notable: just about every offensive and defensive player went to Durden before he was taken to the…

Longtime Oklahoma Sooners assistant coach Cale Gundy has announced his resignation Sunday night after nearly 30 years at the University following an incident that occurred last week. During a team film session, Gundy picked up a distracted player’s iPad and read what was on the screen, which allegedly included a racial slur. As a result, Gundy has tendered his resignation as assistant coach. While it does not appear that there was any ill intent behind the incident, it is still inexcusable. It appears that Gundy, Venables, and the University as a whole agree that this move is for the best.…

Since being selected 8th overall in the 2020 draft, Isaiah Simmons has been used all over the field. He was primarily used as an Inside Linebacker in the 2021 season, with almost 600 snaps coming from that spot. He split an additional 400 snaps between Edge Rusher and Cornerback. Where he spent the least amount of time, however, was at Safety, where he lined up for only two plays. While most expected him to be half of a Middle Linebacker duo with 2nd-year player Zaven Collins, the Arizona Cardinals coaching staff is apparently looking to try something else. What will…

The NIL era in college football has fully arrived. In June 2021, the Supreme Court ruled in NCAA v. Alston that the NCAA could no longer limit student athlete’s abilities to profit off of their name, image, and likeness (NIL). Most teams have already started taking advantage of this new landscape. For programs such as Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State, the NIL really only makes it easier for them to remain atop the recruiting class rankings on a yearly basis. However, for smaller programs, this new recruiting tool provides a much better opportunity to level the playing field. And now,…

In a recent series of surveys, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is attempting to determine who people around the league think are the best at what they do. Players, coaches, scouts, and executives were asked to rank their top 10 players by position. Players like TJ Watt, Jalen Ramsey, and Aaron Donald obviously led their respective positions. While the Cardinals were not well represented at most positions, they did produce one top 5 player on defense. Cardinals Star Budda Baker is a top 5 Safety in the NFL According to the survey, a panel of his peers have selected star Cardinals safety…

On night 1 of this year’s NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals made a move that was fairly polarizing. They traded the 23rd overall pick to the Baltimore Ravens for the 100th pick and rising star Wide Receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. This came as a bit of a surprise, as Brown was coming off of a 1,000 yard receiving yard season and had seemed to establish a good connection with Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, whatever connection they built is almost certainly shadowed by the connection Brown is entering into in Arizona. Brown’s new Quarterback, Kyler Murray, is not all that…

After a tough 1-6 start to the season, the Mean Green won their last 5 regular season games and earned a bowl bid in 2021. Head coach Seth Littrell has posted a 37-38 record in his 6 seasons in Denton, with 4 bowl appearances (and 4 bowl losses). Things have taken a downturn in the 2 seasons following star Quarterback Mason Fine’s graduation in 2019. However, a new season brings new hope, and some new faces on the North Texas campus are hoping to provide some stable success for a fan base that has waited a long time for it.…

Now that the 2022 NFL Draft is far in the rearview mirror, it’s time to look ahead to the 2023 Draft. Early on, much of the conversation has centered around Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s CJ Stroud. And while a few other names have emerged as top level Quarterbacks, some guys have been talked about far too little. Here are three names to keep an eye on as potential risers in next year’s Draft. Devin Leary, NC State Devin Leary is a somewhat popular pick for potential “sleeper” Quarterbacks in next year’s draft. He has great accuracy to the…
