On Tuesday August 16th, Netflix released the two-part “Untold: The Girlfriend who Didn’t Exist” documentary on Manti Te’o and his fake girlfriend. If you haven’t watched it, I strongly advise you do. Te’o relives the painful and embarrassing memories of being catfished by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, who was using photos of Diane O’Meara, under the alias name of ‘Lennay Kekua’. To this day, it is still one of the most bizarre athlete stories of all time. Focusing more on Te’o playing career, his time and all he accomplished in his four years at Notre Dame deserve a rewind. Freshman Year (2009): After…

Going into the 2022 NFL season, the Washington Commanders seem uncertain who the full time starting running back will be. The answer right now would seem like 24-year-old Antonio Gibson who the Commanders used the 66th pick on in the 2020 NFL draft. Gibson is coming off an 1,000 yard (seven touchdown) rushing season that also saw him catch 42 passes for 294 yards and three additional scores. Gibson has said he feels confident going into his third season with Washington. He also cited fixing mistakes such as always looking to create a big play, and slimming down to improve…

I’m all in on Adam Thielen and the Minnesota Vikings offense this season. Coming off a season in which he only played 13 games (really only 12 after getting hurt in the Lions game week 13), Thielen was on pace for a 1,000 yard year. Finishing with 67 catches (95 targets), 726 yards, and 10 touchdowns, Thielen should be primed for another big season. Thielen himself even said he feels rejuvenated going into his 10th NFL season. *Thielens 1,000 yard pace before injury last season is the reason I love his over 750.5 receiving yards going into the 2022 season.…

The 2022-2023 NFL season will determine Daniel Jones future with the New York Giants. After a solid rookie year, followed by two mediocre seasons, Jones will be under a microscope. The Giants declined the fifth-year option on Jones, and that tells you all you need to know how they are evaluating the situation. With a 12-25 record as a starter, things haven’t been great. There have been flashes and disasters, not the consistency the Giants were hoping for when they used the sixth pick on him in the 2019 draft. If things go poorly again with Daniel Jones and this…

Going into the 2022 NFL season, a lot of fanbases are hopeful their team can come out on top. This includes the top dogs with teams such as the Bills, Buccaneers, Chiefs, and defending Rams. With all the optimism, often times it deflects away from the pessimism, and fans don’t want to see flaws in their teams. Looking around the internet, everyone loves to be optimistic talking about why a team can win the Super Bowl. For example, seen here with an article on why the Bills can win the Super Bowl. Pointing out shortcomings is apart of sports, after…

When it comes to season long player props for the NFL season, quarterbacks are usually the first to pass the eye. The most polarizing position in all of sports, the quarterbacks are the ones that start the play with the ball. When the ball is in the air, it is up to their counterparts to complete the play. Quarterback touchdown overs have to be factored by not only the player throwing the ball, but who he’s throwing too. It takes two to tango in this game, and the quarterbacks on this list will need some help from their friends this…

Headlined by the Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Kansas City Chiefs, when you look at the top of the 2022-2023 Super Bowl odds, you’ll find the usual suspects. Going through the odds before the season, it’s easy to see the Chiefs and think that Patrick Mahomes will just lead his team to a Super Bowl victory (that was the case in 2020). There are a lot of storylines one can convince themselves on why a team will win that years Super Bowl. Piece together the Tom Brady potential second fairytale title with the Bucs, Josh Allen and the Bills…

For the first time in three years, the New York Giants welcomed fans back to training camp. On a hot Wednesday morning in East Rutherford, practice was in full force. Going into the season, it’s hard to know the expectations of this Giants team. I tried to capture my expectations here with my Giants schedule prediction. Giants head coach Brian Daboll made his vision clear when asked about the identity of his new team and organization: https://twitter.com/SNYGiants/status/1552283866731364353?s=20&t=iOaL7PjK2DPRwVbr3UEXzA Here are a few reflections I had from Giants training camp: 1. Sizable crowd, but not overly crowded: The bleachers started to fill…

Adam Schefter has reported that Tom Brady will have a new offensive weapon going into the 2022 NFL season. The seven-time pro bowler Jones will join forces with the soon to be 45-year-old Brady. Jones is coming off back to back injury plagued campaigns that saw him only appear in nine and ten games. Adding to the impressive wide receiver room of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, if Jones can find some of his old magic, it makes this super bowl contender even more dangerous. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1552028033053347840?s=20&t=mOrJsm5JwSB6dLY04aSamw It is a good spot for Julio Jones to prove himself again as an…
