According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, if something shows signs of volatility, there is thus a tendency to change quickly and unpredictably. Fantasy football is volatile, and, therefore, its landscape changes yearly. Some of the best players from one season fall off the very next. Sometimes the hindrance is an injury or coaching change, but other times, it is not so easy to understand why a player plummets.  Most fantasy leagues have 12 owners, meaning the top players at the position, wide receiver ones (WR1), are limited.  It is not sufficient enough to call a 12-player field limited, though. Again, fantasy…

The Jacksonville Jaguars play host to the Tennessee Titans with the ultimate stakes on the line. The Jaguars and Titans meet on Saturday for a scheduled 8:15 kickoff on ESPN and ABC. The AFC South division crown is up for grabs after a complete free fall by the Titans. This is a reality that seemed unimaginable a mere five weeks ago. However, as the Titans cooled down from a 7-3 start to the season, the Jaguars rattled off wins in five of their last six since its Week 11 bye. The Jaguars gained the division lead after a Thursday Night…

The Indianapolis Colts led the Minnesota Vikings 33-0 about halfway through the third quarter before a monumental mishap took place. In the latest embarrassing moment for the Colts, the team relinquished the lead and lost the game 39-36 in overtime. Despite this, the Colts accomplished their goal for the long-term future of the franchise. The team didn’t win the game; in turn, the squad didn’t increase its draft stock. In the long run, the Colts won today. The Colts won by losing this game. Had Indianapolis won today, the team’s record would be 5-8-1. As a result, the team would…

With the fourth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected tight end, Kyle Pitts. As a rookie, Pitts showed he was well worth the high selection. Pitts had a 1,000-yard season as a rookie tight end, one of the most difficult positions to acclimate to as a professional. However, Pitts seemed to have a strong understanding of what he needed to do on his end. As a result, Pitts had a rookie year breakout at one of the hardest positions to master in the league. The Falcons sophomore looks ready to best his rookie year if training camp…

Over the offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles added elite talent to the roster. Perhaps the best addition to the team was the trade that brought in wide receiver A.J. Brown to work opposite DeVonta Smith. With Brown on the team, Smith does not need to shoulder the bulk of the pass-catching duties. He was the leader in targets, receptions and touchdowns for the Eagles last season. The players can split that responsibility. And that could be beneficial for Smith and the rest of the offense. Either receiver can put up remarkable numbers; however, one can step up in the case that the…

The San Francisco 49ers released edge rusher Dee Ford on July 27. The veteran dealt with a string of injuries as a 49er. Thus he could never stay on the field for a consistent amount of time. https://twitter.com/FieldYates/status/1552392037516853249?s=20&t=SFynR06NZRZEXAb6GcfpMw Ford played three seasons with the 49ers; that is a maximum of 49 regular season games he could have played. The 31-year-old appeared in just 18 of those potential games. Although injury plagued his run with the 49ers, he was still good when he was on the gridiron. As a member of the team, Ford tallied 9.5 sacks and a trio of…

The Houston Texans hosted wide receiver Chester Rogers for a workout on Monday night, Adam Schefter reported. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1554252868168912896?s=20&t=e_CXIV1GxAML1jbDaadymQ Several teams have interest in the 28-year-old veteran, according to Schefter. That said, there could be a few visits for Rogers elsewhere before he signs to a team. The Texans are a stop on the list for him, however. That, at least, signals some interest in the team by Rogers. In fairness, playing for the Texans makes perfect sense for the veteran wideout. Rogers played his entire career in the AFC South, he’s just missing the Texans and the Jaguars to complete…

Los Angeles Rams receiver Van Jefferson visited a knee specialist today. Following the consultation, Jefferson decided to schedule a knee surgery for Tuesday. https://twitter.com/GManzano24/status/1554231064976953344?s=20&t=7AZuYbnIoA1dGaLq7eGa0w The surgery is not a major one, and the receiver should return in “a few weeks,” according to coach Sean McVay. While the surgery is minor, there is no timetable for Jefferson’s return. That means there is a possibility that Jefferson misses Week 1, and potentially longer. Jefferson, the projected third wide receiver for Los Angeles, had a break-out season in 2021. Last year, the sophomore pass-catcher had 802 receiving yards on 50 catches and six…

The Los Angeles Rams traded for Von Miller near the deadline of the 2021 season.  Miller had a great run for the team, and he provided a terrific presence off the edge as he played opposite Leonard Floyd. However, the days of Miller on the Rams came to an end this offseason. The move paid dividends as the Rams went on to win the Super Bowl behind a magical playoff run from Miller. However, Los Angeles now needs to figure out a replacement for the former Super Bowl MVP. The task is easier said than done. However, it is possible to…

The Houston Texans held the first practice of training camp on Friday. There were four Texans who did not participate in the session. Additionally, there was an injury to tight end Antony Auclair, which ended his day prematurely. The Canadian-born veteran needed the assistance of a cart to get off the field while he held ice against his injured knee, Aaron Wilson reported. Texans Head Coach Lovie Smith did not have an update on the condition of Auclair in his post-practice presser. Auclair, a five-year veteran, is more of a blocker than a pass catcher. He has 15 catches in five…
