Falcons have a 1-2 record, but each game has been down to the wire. Last week they were able to squeak out a win on the road against the Seatle Seahawks 27-23. This matchup will be a ground and pound, gritty game considering both teams have excellent running games. The Browns running backs have an edge over…

Oldest Rivalry in the AFC There is a visceral disdain between the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It doesn’t matter what their records are but when these titans meet there will be blood. The Rivalry has spanned for nearly 70 years, with 141 games played and the Steelers are up 79-61-1 overall. They have the oldest rival in the AFC and tonight on Thursday Night Football they meet again for another slobber-knocker of a game. We have had everything from Joe Jones violent sack of Terry Bradshaw, Antonio Brown kicking punter Spencer Lanning directly in the face, and the…

The Defensive Meltdown Last Sunday was a major defensive meltdown at the end of the Jets game! Leading 30-17 with 1:55 left, the Browns missed an extra point, gave up a 66-yard TD pass with 1:22, failed to recover an onside kick and then let Joe Flacco finish them with a 15-yard touchdown pass to rookie Garrett Wilson with 22 seconds left. Joe Flacco turned into vintage Joe Flacco and had his way with the Cleveland Browns. He took full advantage of safety Grant Delpit the last two touchdown drives. We have a problem with the defense, the Cleveland Browns…

A Real Barn Burner Week one was not flashy, Jacoby Brissett looked slow and out of sorts, but the Browns were able to grind out a win with Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb! It does not have to be pretty, but a win is a win! The Jets are coming off a 24-9 loss against the Baltimore Ravens where Joe Flacco took over for Jets injured star quarterback Zach Wilson. After last week neither team looked dominant so this could be a real snooze of a game unless the Browns defense wakes up the old sleeping giant of Joe Flacco.…

Volleyball and Pharmaceuticals Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is in the spotlight but for all the wrong reasons. Favre finds himself caught red-handed for playing a part in diverting federal welfare funds from Mississippi’s poorest population to his pockets.  Mississippi is the poorest state in the country, with almost 200,000 children living below the poverty line. The money Favre used from the welfare funds were to fund a new volleyball facility at The University of Southern Mississippi where his daughter played volleyball. Also, according to NPR,”Favre at one time was the largest individual outside investor and stockholder of…

Neighbors Just an hour and a half drive separate the Longhorns and the Roadrunners, and this matchup will be the first ever meeting between the two UT institutions in football. The Longhorns are coming off a gritty heartbreaking loss to Alabama, while the Roadrunners just upset Army in their home opener. Both Texas teams have exceeded expectations in the early part of the season. In the AP Poll the Longhorns broke into the top twenty-five ranking 21 after going toe to toe with Alabama. This game seems to be lopsided, but the Roadrunners did go 12-2 last year in CUSA.…

I grew up rooting for the Browns and have great memories of my dad, uncle’s and myself sitting around the TV every Sunday cheering them on! It was the eighties, so Bernie Kosar and Kevin Mack were heroes in our house! I also rooted for the Bengals since I am from Cincinnati, but the Browns were my team! Through all the good and bad seasons, we loved the Cleveland Browns. Signing of Deshaun Waston During the off season this year the Browns signed Deshaun Watson even after allegations of sexual misconduct were known to the public. There are twenty-plus women…
