The Week 2 edition of the Associated Press college football rankings were released on Tuesday following the performances that surrounded the headlines of Week 1 contests. Visits to paydirt from all three phases for the Longhorns were the highlight and difference in Texas’s 52-10 Saturday night win over Louisiana-Monroe in Austin. Texas (1-0) showed glimpses of explosiveness in a Steve Sarkisian-led offense with the debut of former #1-recruit, Quinn Ewers. Coming off of a lackluster 5-7 campaign in year one, Steve Sarkisian sets his sights on turning the page for his Texas Longhorns beginning with Louisiana-Monroe in Austin on September 3.
