The Steelers loss to the Browns on Thursday night showed major struggles on all sides of the team. When watching the game in the first half, both the Steelers and Browns started very slow. After a few punts, things started to slowly pick up as Najee Harris scored a touchdown, followed by Amari Cooper’s touchdown. Mitch Trubisky responded with a run of his own for a touchdown. David Njoko, as wide open as the Steelers defense made him, scored a touchdown also in the game. Then halftime was upon us, but only one team showed up afterwards. The Steeler’s…

After a shocking overtime win against AFC North rivals Cincinnati Bengals in overtime, the Steelers lose by three in their home opener against the Patriots. Mac Jones and the Patriots seemed to be the better team, passing the ball effectively and making defensive plays. Keep in mind that Mac Jones was dealing with a back injury he suffered last week. Mac Jones v Mitchell Trubisky Jones completed several passes to wideouts Nelson Agholor and Jakobi Meyers, as they both combined for 205 yards on fifteen passes. Jones also completed an amazing touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor, despite decent coverage by…

Believe it or not, the game’s actual score at one point was 28-3, favoring the Rams. This time around, however, the Falcons nearly made a comeback, as Atlanta falls short 31-27. In third quarter, the Falcons were down by that margin (28-3) to the Los Angeles Rams before they started their comeback. The Falcons’ hopes of scoring the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter were dashed when Jalen Ramsey intercepted Marcus Mariota’s pass for Bryan Edwards in the end zone. This helped the Rams hold on for a 31-27 victory. So how close were they to a comeback? How it…

Two sides wanting different things Who would have guessed that by 2022, Heinz Field would no longer be known as the Steelers’ home? Instead, it will be known as Acrisure Field. That is one difference Steelers supporters will notice when they make their way to the stadium this season. Another difference is that #7 will not be starting this season. Recently, Ben Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that former general manager Kevin Colbert wanted him to retire before the 2021 season. “It was mostly Kevin,” Roethlisberger told Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, explaining management’s preference to say farewell.…

Have the Atlanta Falcons done enough to feel confident at quarterback? This is a question I’ve been hearing for a while, and it’s worth investigating more. Matt Ryan will not play for the Atlanta Falcons for the first time since 2008. During the offseason, the former Falcon was dealt to the Indianapolis Colts, as the Falcons attempt to move on from their past. Isn’t it almost as though the Falcons are resetting the clock? A brief rundown on Mariota Marcus Mariota signed with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2022, making it his third team since being drafted second overall in…

We can all agree about how great of a player Najee Harris was for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. You can sum up that Harris was a workhorse last season, as he hardly ever left the field. Harris leads the league in offensive touches and snaps just as a rookie. As we’re just a few months away from the start of the season and heading into year two, Harris and the Steelers will potentially lower this number. “I am taking time off,” Harris said in his first remarks to the media since winter. “I will not be on the field…

Given that wide receivers have been known to abandon their respective teams, this is quite the rumor that has been circulating in the world of the NFL. Over the course of the years, we have seen athletes push their way off of teams for a variety of reasons, including disagreements over their contracts, the performance of their teams, their coaches, or just a desire for a change of environment. Some of the players that asked to be traded or signed with other clubs were the ones who we least anticipated to walk away from a successful scenario. In Johnson’s view,…

Kyle Pitts is making a name for himself after a stellar rookie season with the Falcons. The former 1st-round selection in the 2021 NFL draft (4th overall) posted 1,026 receiving yards with 68 catches, followed by a touchdown as well as a Pro Bowl appearance. A lot has changed since then, one being his quarterback, as Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts, who were eventually one and done with Carson Wentz. With multiple changes in the offense, Kyle Pitts is a name to watch for heading into year two. Pitts had his struggles early on in the season,…

Yes, you read that correctly. 12-year veteran Joe Haden remains unsigned as he’s still a free agent. The Steelers elected not to give Haden an extension when he entered the last year of his contract. The former all-pro played his previous five seasons in Pittsburgh, signing a three-year $27MM deal in summer 2017 and a two-year $22.4MM extension in 2019. Now that the draft has long passed us fans, one must wonder where Haden will go? At age 33, he will be playing for his 13th season, but for a new team potentially. He has contract offers, according to Pro…
