The Atlanta Falcons roster seems to be on the edge this season, with most of their players sidelined by injuries. This ongoing struggle has stretched their depth and raised concerns about their performance on the field.
WR Drake London is the latest player to fall, sustaining a hip injury during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Other Falcons on the injury reserve list include running back Jase McClellan (coach’s decision), linebacker Troy Andersen (knee), and offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson.
Additionally, center Drew Dalman and defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro were both placed on injured reserve, along with linebacker Lorenzo Carter (concussion), safety Micah Abernathy (knee), and safety DeMarco Hellams (ankle).
Falcons’ depth has also been affected with Preseason injuries. Linebacker Bralen Trice and cornerback Harrison Hand are both out for the season following knee injuries. Wide receiver Rondale Moore, another key player, was also placed on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury.
Falcons WR Drake London was ruled questionable Due To a hip injury.
Drake London fell to the turf on his hips while attempting to catch a pass from Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder. However, when London hit the ground, he injured his hip, officially ruling him questionable to return.
London made multiple trips to the Atlanta medical tent before being replaced by veteran wideout KhaDarel Hodge after the two drives. Hodge gained nine yards on a well-executed screen pass, setting the team up for a crucial fourth-down conversion on their opening drive without London.
Unfortunately, the drive took a bad turn when quarterback Cousins was sacked by Cowboys edge rusher Carl Lawson, resulting in a fumble and a lost possession.
