Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is entering a contract year after the NFC South division franchise picked up his fifth-year option for the 2025 NFL season, which is worth $10.8 million.
However, Pitts hasn’t quite reached the high ceiling many thought he would when he entered the league in 2021, when Atlanta selected the former Florida Gators star fourth overall in the first round of that year’s NFL draft.
But Atlanta offensive coordinator Zac Robinson appears to believe that there’s no better time for Pitts to take his game to the next level than in 2025.
“I’m expecting Kyle to take a big jump,” Robinson said. “You know, Year 2 of the system. Year 2 of understanding what we’re trying to do offensively. All those things that come with it, so expecting a lot of good things from Kyle. He knows what he needs to work on with the details, some of the fundamentals and techniques, the consistency down in and down out, those are things we talk about with him and (tight ends coach Kevin) Koger talks about with him all the time is those finer details and that next level that he can take as a player.
“So I’m pumped for Kyle, can’t wait to get on the field with him and that’s going to be a lot of fun to see his growth.”
Will Atlanta Falcons’ Pitts turn things around in 2025?

Pitts showed a ton of promise in his first year in the NFL, amassing 1,026 receiving yards and a touchdown on 68 receptions and 110 targets in 17 games while earning a Pro Bowl nod.
Since then, however, he hasn’t collected more than 667 receiving yards in a season. In 2024, he only had 602 receiving yards but came away with a career-high four touchdown receptions.
