The Atlanta Falcons completed mandatory minicamp last week and have a month off. Once the break ends, the team will start training camp on July 24 at IBM Performance Field in Flowery Branch, Georgia. One competition to keep an eye on during the summer is the number-three running back position behind Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier.
The Atlanta Falcons added a UFL standout as part of the competition

The Falcons signed San Antonio Brahmas standout running back Jashaun Corbin to a contract. He bounced around with the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers in 2022 and 2023 before landing in the UFL in 2024. Corbin had a great 2024 campaign, finishing as the league’s leading rusher, rushing for 514 yards on 97 attempts and four touchdowns, plus 18 receptions for 138 yards in ten games, earning an All-UFL team.
Since the roster was full, they had to cut someone to make room for him.
The Atlanta Falcons suddenly cut former 6th-round pick

According to Terrin Waack of the team’s website, the Falcons have waived Jase McClellan. Since he was a draft pick and is on his rookie deal, he will be subject to waivers for the next 24 hours, and if a team claims him, they will inherit the final three years of his contract. If McClellan clears waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent and can sign wherever.

Jase McClellan didn’t receive much playing time in his rookie season, being a healthy scratch for the first six weeks, and limited to two games and 19 offensive snaps. He rushed for 32 yards on 13 attempts. McClellan missed the final six games with a knee injury, including the last four on injured reserve.
