Ashton Jeanty, running back for the Las Vegas Raiders, was recently shown some love by none other than veteran quarterback Geno Smith. Smith spoke to reporters quite recently during the training camp and discussed Jeanty’s performance during sessions. Jeanty was bagged by the team in this year’s draft and the running back was immediately quoted to be one of the best talents that the team acquired this offseason.

According to Smith, Jeanty has been a “smooth running back” and seems to have really impressed his teammates in the training camp. The young RB and the rest of the Las Vegas Raiders will be soon kicking off their campaign in early September against the New England Patriots.
“Ashton is a smooth RB out of the back field, we’ve seen what he can do breaking tackles….said he’s been really impressed with his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield,” Geno Smith spoke about running back Ashton Jeanty according to Jesse Merrick’s tweet on his X account.

Ashton Jeanty has joined the Las Vegas Raiders at a time when the team has really focused on reconstructing their roster. The team will be trying their best to improve their record in the upcoming season when compared to the previous year. In the 2024 NFL season, the Raiders did not make anywhere close to the playoffs and will be hoping to get as close to the Lombardi trophy in the upcoming football year.

“I’m blessed to have a quarterback like him” Ashton Jeanty told reporters about quarterback Geno Smith.

Jeanty’s quarterback Geno Smith will be playing his first ever season with the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 NFL campaign. Smith and the rest of the Raiders players will not only be coached by veteran head coach Pete Carroll, but also be supervised closely by NFL legend Tom Brady who bought a minority ownership in the team earlier this year.
According to reports, Tom Brady is not only a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, but will also be taking a high level of interest in the team’s personnel management. Brady’s wealth of expertise is expected to propel the Raiders forward to a better record in the upcoming NFL season.
