The Arizona Cardinals could lose a wide receiver
The Arizona Cardinals want to reload in Jonathan Gannon’s first season as their head coach. The Cardinals have stated they plan to build around quarterback Kyler Murray. However, the quarterback could miss some of the regular season as he rehabs from injury. The team could decide to part ways with a wide receiver this offseason, as Murray won’t play an entire season.
All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins spoke on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday. Hopkins told the show’s hosts he was “hearing all the trade talks” surrounding his name this offseason. He said he was all in on the Cardinals but wasn’t sure where he’d end up playing football next fall.

Hopkins had over 1,400 yards receiving in his first season with the Cardinals in 2020. However, he hasn’t cracked 1,000 yards in the previous two seasons. Hopkins might do better on a playoff contender than a team that seems several moves away from winning the NFC West.
