The Arizona Cardinals Signed Their 3rd Round Pick to a Rookie Contract

The Arizona Cardinals have a reliable tight end number one in Trey McBride, but their depth (as a whole) is weak, and they needed to add more talent to the position.

The Cardinals drafted a tight end.

Reiman played eight games in his true freshman season (mostly on special teams) and didn’t record a reception. He redshirted after the conclusion of the season.

Reiman played 12 games, starting three in his redshirt freshman season, with three receptions for 43 yards and one touchdown.

Reiman played 13 games, starting 13 in his redshirt sophomore season, with 19 receptions for 174 yards and one touchdown.

Lance Zierlein did a scouting report on Tip Reiman

Lance Zierlein of NFL Network did a scouting report on Reiman.

“The former walk-on became a team captain in 2023. He’s a huge Y tight end capable of becoming a quality run blocker in the NFL.

“Hand placement limits his consistency, but that should get corrected. He blocks with good leg drive and plays with some nasty at the point of attack. He’ll be better working double-teams and combo blocks than blocking in space.

“He’s the type of garden-variety pass catcher that you would expect a run-blocking specialist to be. Reiman’s career will be defined by how he blocks, which should be good enough to make it in the league.”

Tip Reiman will compete for the TE2 spot

Reiman will compete against Elijah Higgins for the TE2 spot. Higgins played wide receiver in college but got converted to tight end in the NFL. He played 11 games with the Cardinals in his rookie season, with 14 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown.

Will Reiman be TE2 for the Cardinals in 2024?
