The Arizona Cardinals release a wide receiver
The Arizona Cardinals appear to be making some critical roster changes this offseason. Kyler Murray will have a new wide receivers group to work with when he recovers from his injury next season. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said recently he was hearing his name involved in trade talks for next season. The team decided to release a veteran wide receiver they picked up in the middle of last season.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Cardinals released Chosen Anderson Wednesday.

The Carolina Panthers traded Anderson to the Cardinals in the middle of last season after they fired head coach Matt Rhule. The Panthers received two late-round picks for Anderson. Anderson didn’t do much with the Cardinals after the trade. He finished with 76 yards receiving and no touchdown receptions. Anderson caught one touchdown pass and recorded 206 receiving yards last season with the Panthers.
The Cardinals will save some cap space with the move. The team has about $16 million in cap space before free agency.
