The Arizona Cardinals are 10-35 since halfway through the 2021 season. More disturbingly, Arizona is 4-15 at home since the 2022 campaign, an indictment of their struggles regardless of the venue. On Sunday, the Cardinals took an early touchdown lead against the Washington Commanders before the visiting NFC club went on a 42-7 run.
The loss moves Arizona to 1-3 on the season despite solid showings against the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions earlier in the year. Unlike their previous three games, the Cardinals faithful had little to cheer for in Week 4. However, the stadium remained loud and energetic because it was mostly Washington fans. The continuous lack of home-field support for the Cardinals has fans up in arms, especially with the Commanders of all teams holding majority representation at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.
Washington Commanders Fans Take Over Arizona Cardinals Stadium
According to Mr. AZ on Twitter:
Cardinals Stadium once again was taken over by opposing fans. The Arizona Cardinals have won 4/19 Home Games since 2022. Want this to change? Start winning.
With Sunday’s loss against the Washington Commanders, the Arizona Cardinals move to 1-2 at home this season and are in danger of their fifth three-game home losing streak since 2021. Arizona was largely inefficient on offense in Week 5, allowing four sacks and failing to eclipse 300 yards. Meanwhile, the defense had no answer for rookie quarterback and former Arizona State Sun Devils signal-caller Jayden Daniels, with the 23-year-old going 26-of-30 for 233 yards and a touchdown.
The Arizona Cardinals showed little resistance against a Washington team that won four games last season. Head coach Jonathan Gannon will likely want his squad to flush the previous weekend’s performance. However, fans were not so eager to move on, calling each other out for the lack of Cardinals representation in the stands at State Farm Stadium. Videos went viral during the tilt, showing Arizona’s home stadium overrun with Washington fans:
Yeah. I used to get pissed about people selling their tickets but at this point it’s hard to argue. I’m tired of being the only person in my section not to sell to sell and get surrounded by people rooting on whatever random team. I’ll just keep the 4 grand and watch from home.

Every road team takes over State Farm Stadium. This is nothing new.

This will always be more embarrassing than any performance on the field

They need to make it to where season ticket holders can't sell their tickets. This happens at every game for every team here.

Lmao I think there more fans of the 31 other nfl teams in AZ than there actually is Arizona fans

Bidwill only cares about hosting Super Bowls, March Madness, etc. The Cards are secondary.

How does it feel to be in a stadium that’s not falling apart? pic.twitter.com/Mnct6UIEGg

Put a perennial loser on the field, this is what happens.

Sucks to be an Arizona sports fan. This happens at every sports venue, and the owners wonder why this happens? Well cause all the teams choke and suck
