The Arizona Cardinals are one of the most intriguing teams going into the 2024 NFL season. The Cards finished last in the NFC West division in each of the last two seasons, but they will have Kyler Murray starting in Week 1 again. Murray did not see action in 2023 until Week 10 as he had to recuperate from a season-ending injury he suffered in the 2022 campaign.

Trey McBride believes in the Arizona Cardinals’ chances to surprise in 2024

Another weapon that is making Cardinals fans excited is tight end Trey McBride, who was a bright spot on the 4-13 Arizona 2023 squad. McBride knows the Cardinals are not getting the lofty expectations other teams have, but he’s confident his team has what it takes to make loud noises in 2024.
“I think we’re a tough, physical football team that no one can really count out,” McBride said. “We don’t get the respect that we deserve, I feel like, but it’s good to be under the radar because no one’s really expecting us to do anything. I think we have a great team, a great offense, and I’m super excited to see where this team can go this year.”
If the Cardinals are to surprise in 2024, McBride will have to sustain the form he showed in 2023. Last season, McBride paced the Cardinals with 825 receiving yards to go with three touchdowns on 81 receptions. With Murray ready to start the season and with the Cardinals adding Ohio State Buckeyes weapon Marvin Harrison Jr. to the offense, Arizona, at the very least, is a team that should generate plenty of heading into the 2024 campaign.
