It has been weeks and there’s still no end in sight when it comes to Haason Reddick’s holdout against the New York Jets. If the latter pushes for a trade, an NFL analysis has projected the Arizona Cardinals as a logical landing spot for the linebacker.
Reddick’s ongoing holdout with the Jets has resulted in significant financial losses, totaling approximately $3.16 million in game checks and an additional $5.9 million in fines. As he enters the 15th day of his holdout, Reddick faces mounting pressure, especially with the upcoming matchup against the Denver Broncos.

The situation is further complicated by the possibility that the Jets may recover part of Reddick’s prorated signing bonus, potentially amounting to $2.74 million, if his absence extends beyond Week 4. Reddick is determined to secure either a new contract or a trade, but his current path may jeopardize his career prospects if the holdout continues through the season.
General Manager Joe Douglas is under increasing pressure as the November 5 trade deadline approaches. With Reddick’s market value likely declining each week, the Jets must evaluate their options carefully. Some reports suggest that while the team is not panicking internally, they should consider making calls to gauge interest from other teams.
NFL Analysis Predicts Arizona Cardinals to Pursue New York Jets’ Haason Reddick

As it stands, moving Reddick should be imperative for the Jets. According to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox, a logical trade partner are the Arizona Cardinals.
“Arizona would also be a logical landing spot for Reddick. The Cardinals have already lost pass-rusher B.J. Ojulari for the year (torn ACL), and head coach Jonathan Gannon previously coached Reddick as the Eagles defensive coordinator.
The Cardinals ($23.7 million) and Lions ($31.5 million) both have the cap space to offer Reddick a new contract if that’s what it takes to acquire him,” Knox wrote.
Reddick, currently holding out with the Jets, is a prime trade candidate as the NFL deadline approaches. With Reddick seeking a new contract and the Jets hesitant to comply, the Cardinals emerge as a strong potential landing spot.

Having previously played for the Cardinals, Reddick could reunite with head coach Jonathan Gannon, especially after Arizona lost pass-rusher B.J. Ojulari for the season. A trade could benefit both Reddick and the Cardinals, making this move increasingly plausible as negotiations unfold.
