The Arizona Cardinals are looking at three OC candidates
The Arizona Cardinals waited until after the Super Bowl to name Jonathan Gannon as their next head coach. Gannon is now tasked with putting together a staff in mid-February after many coaches have found their next stop on the NFL coaching carousel. Reports came out on three candidates for the Cardinals’ next offensive coordinator.
According to Darren Urban, who covers the Cardinals, Gannon said during Thursday’s press conference he was searching for an offensive coordinator who could get the most out of quarterback Kyler Murray. Gannon called Murray “elite” during the press conference.

Position coaches looking for a promotion
None of the above coaches have offensive coordinator experience in the NFL. They currently have roles with offensive position groups in the NFL. If Gannon were to hire one of these coaches as the offensive coordinator, they’d have a steep learning curve while trying to help out Murray. That’s a great distance from what the Arizona Cardinals had with head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
