The Houston Texans were 6-2 entering the Thursday night matchup on the road against the New York Jets. The Jets were 2-6 and were one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL to start the 2024 season.

On Thursday night, the Jets stunned the Texans by a final score of 21-13. With the win for New York, they improved to 3-6 and the Texans fell to 6-3.
Houston Texans Fans Stunned Over the Loss Against the New York Jets

On Thursday night, the Texans fanbase was stunned that Houston was not able to beat the New York Jets on the road in a short week. Even without Stefon Diggs and others, this is a game that the Houston Texans should not have lost. Here is how the fanbase responded on social media to the loss:
Are we washed?

Fix the offensive line before CJ gets turned into David Carr looking up all the time. Off night sure and the Jets still stink. But they got the W and 2 incredible catches too.

I knew from the second they favored the jets and everyone put their money on the Texans that this game was already decided. Clear as day Texans had NO chance to win no matter what they did

Some accountability needs to be had for this. Tired of playing down to competition. CJ is the future of this franchise and by the end of the season he’s gonna be seeing ghosts from all these hits.

Guys, you gotta stop losing to the Jets. It’s not ok
— Scott (@scottconso) November 1, 2024
C.J. Stroud in the game for the Houston Texans against the New York Jets completed 11-of-30 passes for 191 yards. He had zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. With losing Stefon Diggs to a Torn ACL for the season, they should make a trade for a wide receiver before the Tuesday, November 5 trade deadline.
Detroit Lions Next

After this bad loss for the Houston Texans against the New York Jets, they will next face the Detroit Lions on Sunday night football next weekend at home. Detroit is 6-1 this season and they will head on the road against the Green Bay Packers 6-2 this weekend.
This is a bad time for the Texans to be on a losing streak. The Lions are going to be another test for head coach Demeco Ryans and the rest of the team to overcome.
