The Chicago Bears are having a rough season, and it was never supposed to be this way after they had the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and selected USC’s quarterback Caleb Williams.
Williams was supposed to be the franchise’s savior and take the team to new heights. Some thought he could bring the organization to the Super Bowl in his first year.
Bears Fans Are Turing On Caleb Williams
Only the crazy people thought the rookie quarterback could bring the Bears to the Super Bowl in his first season. People thought it could be done with how great Williams was supposed to be, but after another brutal loss on Monday night, Chicago now sits with a 4-10 record and is on an eight-game losing streak.
Williams had a rough Monday against the Minnesota Vikings, throwing for 191 yards and one score, and once again looked like he couldn’t get the job done.
Some Bears fans are not thrilled about the selection after seeing what other rookie quarterbacks around the league, like Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix, are doing. One fan asked, “Are Bears fans ready to be honest that Caleb Williams just isn’t that good…”

Williams still has a long career ahead of him. Many rookie quarterbacks have had a rough first season and then turn it around in year two, and maybe that’s all the young player needs.
It’s not exactly like Chicago is the best spot for a young quarterback in the first place since they had a defensive head coach in Matt Eberflus, who they just fired, and now they need to pair Willimas up with a young offensive-minded head coach.
