Antonio Brown, former wide receiver for the NFL, is in the news for all the wrong reasons, again. This time is not for something controversial that Brown posted on his social media, but an essential murder charge. Last week, it was reported that Brown has been slapped with a second-degree murder charge for a shooting in a kickboxing fight last month.

Brown shared on Sunday that he is essentially the victim of the whole situation and that the media is simply twisting the narratives regarding the incident. Brown reportedly fired at Zul-Qarnain Nantambu with a gun he stole from a nearby security guard. After he was released from detainment, the retired wide receiver shared on his X account that he simply defended himself from people who tried to steal his jewelry.

“How TF You go from being victimized unto a (sic) attempt to murder you see they control the media” Antonio Brown tweeted through his X account recently about the second-degree murder charge.

Nantambu is apparently a jeweler and revealed in an interview with TMZ Live that Antonio Brown had borrowed some jewelry from his collection several years ago which he wore to a Floyd Mayweather fight. Brown never paid for his jewelry. When Nantambu asked for his money during the kickboxing fight, Brown lashed out in anger.

Antonio Brown’s Former Team Predicted To Tank In Upcoming Season

Meanwhile, Antonio Brown’s former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, are expected to flounder in the next NFL season, despite them signing veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently. Skip Bayless, a renowned sports media personality, spoke out on the Steelers not making a great difference to their roster with the signing of Rodgers, and that the quarterback is not a significant upgrade in their roster.

According to Bayless, Rodgers is not the quarterback he once was, and the Steelers are making a huge mistake by designing their offense strategy around him. It is true that Rodgers has not exactly proven himself to be a star in the last couple of seasons, during his time with the New York Jets. After putting up lackluster numbers for the Jets, Rodgers was eventually let go earlier this year.

At once, the Pittsburgh Steelers pounced on the quarterback and made an offer. However, Rodgers did not immediately come back with a response and made the franchise wait for months before signing with them a few days ago.
