One sports media personality described Angel Reese as an “instigator” and “agitator,” in light of the recent heated controversy that the Chicago Sky star found herself in.
In one of his recent videos, sports personality David Portnoy clapped back at analyst Ryan Clark and criticized Reese and her recent public behavior. For the most part, Portnoy slammed Clark for his take on the issue of Reese and how he dragged the names of other analysts along the way.
“Everybody’s making this as a race rivalry,” Portnoy said. “But I want to speak for what I feel is Caitlin Clark’s fans. And the way Ryan Clark drops my name just like ‘hate.’ That, like, Caitlin Clark fans, or Fever fans, or Iowa Hawkeye fans, don’t have a right or reason to hate Angel Reese like she’s a victim out of the clouds just because of the color of their skin, is infuriating.”
“Caitlin Clark fans have a reason to hate Angel Reese, but when I say hate, I mean it in a sports sense as a rival, just like I hate Payton Manning, Boston fans hate Yankee fans.”
“Angel Reese has nothing but an instigator, agitator and jacka** for the past couple of years,” he added. “Rivalries are fine. But every time they play, the reason we don’t like her is racism? No, it’s because she’s been a jacka** for the last three years.”

Ryan Clark sparked controversy when he criticized Robert Griffin III (RG3) for his comments about Angel Reese, arguing that Griffin lacks the perspective to understand the struggles of Black women because he has been married to white women in both of his marriages. Clark accused Griffin of fueling a harmful media narrative, portraying Reese as the aggressor while Caitlin Clark was framed as the victim.
Analysts Got Honest in Description of Angel Reese
Angel Reese got another honest opinion on the issue she is currently facing, this time from Jason Whitlock. In an episode of his program “Fearless,” Whitlock criticized Reese and called her “angry,” “bitter,” and “toxic.”
“The Chicago Sky, they look perhaps worse than they were a year ago because people don’t want to play with Angel Reese,” Whitlock said about the Sky star. “This angry black woman that has some talent, but she’s so toxic. She’s so angry. She’s so bitter. She’s so selfish. No one wants to play with her. There should be a message there that people are missing that this whole persona that she’s taken on, it’s toxic.”
So far, Angel Reese has not gone on social media to address these issues and chain of reactions.
