“Andy Reid Should Retire”: Kansas City Chiefs Fans Want HC Andy Reid To Retire After Loss Against the Houston Texans

The Kansas City Chiefs entered Sunday night football in must win territory against the Houston Texans. With the game tied at 10 in the fourth quarter, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid decided to roll the dice on fourth down and go for it.

Instead, Kansas City failed to pick up the first down. Houston won the game over Kansas City by a final score of 20-10. With the win for the Texans, they improve to 8-5 on the season and jump to the seventh seed in the AFC. As for the Chiefs, they drop to 6-7 on the season and are now 10th in the AFC. Kansas City is in serious danger of missing the playoffs this season. They also can not win the AFC West division this season.

A lot of Chiefs fans could not understand why they did not punt on fourth down with the game tied at 10. It was around their own 30-yard line where they went for it on fourth down. Kansas City being on the verge of missing the playoffs could signal bigger things for this franchise. This fanbase wants to see Reid retire because they feel like he may not have it anymore.

This is what some fans had to say about him on Twitter:

If Reid were to retire at the end of the season, it would be interesting to see who could potentially be the next head coach of the Chiefs. This would be one of the top storylines in the NFL this offseason. With that being said, Kansas City needs a lot of help to make the playoffs. They will next play the Los Angeles Chargers (8-4 record). If the Chiefs lose to Los Angeles, it is basically all over for them.
