This is the second part of my season long journey managing an All Steelers fantasy team. As to be expected I struggled big time as did the Steelers offense as a whole this week. Tough week in Pittsburgh for the team and for my fantasy team. Let’s dive into the performance!

    QB

Mitch Trubisky – Mitch Trubisky looks very basic and not the answer for the Steelers future. He would pass for 168 pass yards 1 touchdown 1 interception. He’d end the day with only 12.42 fantasy points which is right in line with his production last week. All I can say is…. Can we get Kenny Pickett out there already?

    WR

Diontae Johnson – Johnson had a pretty solid outing in the game but it would not translate to fantasy points. Multiple missed opportunities by Mitch when Johnson was wide open which lead to a down week. Johnson should have produced much higher numbers given how open he was. He would end the day with 10.7 points.

Chase Claypool – Claypool again is a victim of Mitch not reading the defense. Claypool has made great great plays when the ball comes his way. He seems more mature and ready to take on the season. He would only end up with 4.6 points. With all the hype in the offseason I thought they would be featuring him more by now.

George Pickens – Man does Pickens looks frustrated out there. The guy is getting open but is not being targeted like he should be. Who can blame him for his frustration, the guy is the ultimate competitor and he’s not being given the chance to do what he does best. He would end up with 2.8 points.

    RB

Najee Harris – Harris is is starting to concern me. He has not consistently found the open holes as needed. His field vision seems skewed as he is following the play as called by hitting the designated hole and not exactly waiting for the play to break down and kicking it out to hit other spots. There are holes being opened just not always how the play was designed. He would end up with 11.4 points.

Jaylen Warren – Warren seems to be their screen/pass block running back. He is not getting a ton of usage in the run game as I would like them to in order to spell Najee Harris. He would be a non factor and end up with 2 points.

    TE

Pat Freiermuth – Muth has looked good so far this season but there is still more to be seen. He is open in the middle of the field and like the rest of these guys is not getting the targets where he needs to in order to make a difference. He would end up with another double digit performance of 10.2 points.

    Defense/Special Teams

Steelers Defense – The Defense was not near what it was last week fantasy wise. With 0 sacks 1 interception and allowing the Patriots to score 17 they would end up with only 3 points.

Chris Boswell – Boswell would make two field goals this week one 30-39 and one 50+ yarder. He would end up with 8 fantasy points.

    Conclusion

Let’s be honest, I never expected this team to be a world beater. With a huge lack of production on offense it almost guarantees I won’t win a single game this season. With that being said I do not care! The train will keep rolling in hopes the Steelers get it together and score more points! I would go on to lose this game 126.28-65.12. Let the season keep on rolling and hope and pray Kenny Pickett comes in to ignite this offensive and save my fantasy hopes!
