Iowa Hawkeyes defensive lineman Deontae Craig (45) pressures Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola (15) Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.

Raiola this season completed 66.6% of his passes for 2,595 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions during his freshman season. He has a lot of room to grow. Nebraska will face the 7-5 Boston College Eagles in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl on December 28. Kickoff for that game will be at NOON ET on ABC.

Many people thought that the Cornhuskers star quarterback was going to leave Nebraska and go elsewhere. Instead, he announced on his social media page that he would not be leaving the football program.

This is big news for the program. Had he left Nebraska, there is no question that he would have a lot of suitors in the transfer portal with how talented he is.

A lot of people have been comparing Raiola to Patrick Mahomes for some reason this season. Raiola needs to create his own legacy with the Nebraska Cornhuskers even if he looks a lot like Mahomes.
