Alabama shocked the college football world on Saturday night when it beat Georgia. Even though the Crimson Tide had beaten the Bulldogs in most of their previous meetings, this win was different.
The greatest coach in the history of college football, Nick Saban, was not on the sidelines for the victory, and this time, it was their new head coach, Kalen DeBoer; many wondered if he could keep the program up to the standard Saban had it at for almost two decades.
DeBoer’s big win against Georgia shows that he can coach with big-time programs. Beating Kirby Smart, who is now the best head coach in the game, was a great thing for DeBoer and the Alabama program moving forward.
Replacing the greatest coach ever to do it is not easy, but Alabama might’ve found the guy who can carry Saban’s legacy and the tradition of winning titles for the Crimson Tide.
Alabama Found Their New Nick Saban
On3.com’s JD Pickell was on the Paul Finebaum show and was impressed with the huge win DeBoer had over Georgia. He even stated, “There’s a lot of talk about who the next Nick Saban is, and Alabama might’ve found him in Kalen DeBoer.”

DeBoer is one of the best offensive minds in college football, and he will only get better coaching the top players in the country.
It will be hard for DeBoer to win six titles like Saban did while he was at Alabama but there is no reason why he can’t win two or three and make himself the best coach in the sport.
Alabama isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and they will be competing for titles as long as DeBoer is their head coach.
