Alright, y’all, your boy SpikedJohnnyB has already put out the power rankings for the SEC, Big 12, and PAC 12 for week 8. I don’t usually have a specific order in how I do the power rankings for each conference. To be honest, it is usually the ones with the least amount of teams first just to get the blogs out haha. This ACC football season has made for a very weird year. Teams are good, bad and ugly. What tier is your team on?

Tier 1 Power Rankings: The Good

    #1 Clemson

This team is good. Actually, you know what? This team is great. For some reason everyone was a little down on the Tigers going into the season. They thought DJ was not the answer at QB, and their defensive coordinator left for Oklahoma. How has Dabo and company responded? By winning and looking good doing it. They just blew out a very good Florida State team on the road. Beating Wake on the road as well earlier in the year was even more impressive. Now the Tigers only have one more road game the rest of the year. This team is very dangerous and will be in the playoff.

    #2 Wake Forest

I love this team and their QB Sam Hartman. One of the best QB’s in college football that somehow always gets overlooked. Him and DJ battled it out a few weeks ago with Clemson winning in the end, but Hartman definitely outplayed the Clemson leader. The slow mesh offense absolutely messes with teams cues on defense and Hartman and company run it to perfection. The toughest part of their schedule is coming up now. I believe this, because I have watched them all year. They will handle every team left.

    #3 North Carolina

If this team didn’t scare the shit out of me when they are on the defensive side of the ball, they might be even higher on the power rankings. Gene Chizik really has not found a way to stop anyone’s offense. Good thing for the Tar Heels that Drake Maye is the truth. This kid can straight out play QB and spin some pigskin. Hey, Kentucky and Will Levis fans, this is a QB made for the first round. See the difference. If North Carolina can find some sort of defense maybe they can compete with Clemson in the title game.

    #4 Syracuse

I know most people wouldn’t struggle to put this Orange team so high in their power rankings. I am not most people, though. Syracuse has been lucky every single time they play an opponent this year. Hear me out real quick. Last week they beat NC State, team that was supposed to be good but lost their starting QB the week before. They played Louisville first game of the year when everyone knows the Cardinals always start slow. They got all the calls at the end of the Purdue game to allow them to win. I don’t know, I just don’t buy this team being good; but the record is what it is. I honestly can see them losing five of the last six games, but that’s only because I know the game.

    #5 Pittsburgh

This team is so damn one sided on offense, but when it is going right Abanikanda is a top 3 back in college football. They run that man to death because the Kedon Slovis experiment is not going great. That started when Pitt lost a heartbreaker to Hendon Hooker and Tennessee when Slovis was injured. The defense for the Panthers is top tier, but the lack of passing is going to drown this team in this league.

    #7 Florida State

I think Mike Norvell has done a really good job with this Seminoles team this year. Yes, the Clemson loss at home is tough, but that is Clemson. The huge win vs LSU was a great start to the year and Jordan Travis has looked great when he is on the field and not injured. I have them one ahead of a team they lost to in NC State because I think they can save this season and go to a decent Bowl game. If they beat Florida and Miami that is a win for this team this year.  They can build off of a Bowl win going into next year and could be high in the power rankings then.

    FSU QB Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis has been the main play-caller for the Seminoles the past two seasons. He and the Seminoles look to surprise the ACC this season.

Tier 2 Power Rankings: The Ugly

    #8 N.C. State

It really sucks that the Wolfpack are this low in the power rankings. I hate that an injury is the reason why N.C. State’s ambitions are crushed. With the loss of Devin Leary, the expectations have severely dropped for this team. Jack Chambers started versus Syracuse and it was really ugly. They need a lot of divine intervention if they expect to finish at the top of the ACC this year.

    #9 Miami

This god damn team is so infuriating. They have an NFL QB in TVD. Yes, Kentucky fans, this is what an NFL QB is. Not Will Levis. No one on the Hurricanes team can catch a damn football; that is the truth. If the wide receivers caught even half the balls thrown to them this team might be undefeated. Now, the defense. How the hell do you let Middle Tennessee State embarrass you at home? That was truly hard to watch, a once great program be that bad versus a group of five team. If, and I mean if, Mario Cristobal can somehow find someone to catch the ball and Josh Gattis pulls his head out of his terrible play calling ass, this team will be fine and could even win the Coastal side of the ACC.

    #10. Georgia Tech

Somehow this team is 2-1 in conference play after firing their coach. Hell, sometimes that bands everyone together and the coordinators are fighting for their jobs. The players play harder to keep their scholarships under the new regime. I have no idea how the hell this team has two wins in conference. This is a head scratcher in the power rankings for me. I honestly thought they would be on the bottom all year.

Tier 3 Power Rankings: The Bad

#11 Louisville, Boston College, Duke, Virginia & Virginia Tech

Yes, I do not want to waste my time or energy in individually talking about these teams. That would be a waste of my time writing funny comments and a waste of your time reading about teams that don’t matter at all. These five teams combined couldn’t sell out Neyland or The Big House. So congrats to you five for at least collecting a conference media check. Maybe one day you will matter in the power rankings and the standings.

Yes, before you morons start commenting, I get that it goes the Good, the Bad & the Ugly. But that shit didn’t work for how I was power ranking the teams. You get what I was doing. Don’t be an asshole. If you  disagree with me the twitter is always on and I would love to hear from my fans. I know it is intimidating because I am always right and your arguments are terrible. I enjoy the banter though because it proves to me I am smarter than all of you. God Bless.
