Aaron Rodger’s future in Green Bay will be under the microscope this offseason. Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers finished the season on a sour note. After a slow start to the season, the  Packers had an opportunity to make the playoffs. Green Bay had to beat the Detroit Lions to make the playoffs. The Packers came up short and lost 20-16. Aaron Rodgers threw an interception late in the game and the Packer’s playoff chances vanished.

Aaron Rodgers said he wouldn’t hold Green Bay hostage over the offseason. Rodgers said this after losing to the Detroit Lions. Rodgers recently appeared on Pat McAfee’s sports show. Rodgers said, “I don’t want to be a part of a rebuild.” Rodgers would only come back to Green Bay if he believed he could win a Superbowl.

Aaron Rodgers and Packers 2022 Season

The 2022 season was disappointing for the Packers. After controlling the NFC for the past couple of seasons the Packers lacked cohesion as a unit. Rodgers looked frustrated during the 2022 season. Rodgers failed to connect with his new-look offense after Davante Adam’s departure. Rodgers had one of his worst seasons as a starter. He finished the season passing for 3,695 yards, throwing 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Green Bay’s offense took a back seat in 2022. Matt LaFleur’s offense ranked 17th in the NFL. Green Bay’s offense averaged 337.9 yards per game and 21.8 points per game. Rodgers struggled to steer the offense in the right direction. During the 2022 offseason, Rodgers chose to go on vacation and didn’t throw with his receivers. The choice cost him during the season. Rodgers and the Packer’s receivers were rarely on the same page.

Aaron Rodger’s Career In Green Bay

Despite a poor 2022 season, Rodgers has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Rodgers has won three MVP awards and a Superbowl title. Rodgers has made game-changing throws to help the Packers win games. Rodgers has passed for 59,055 yards, thrown 475 touchdowns, and 105 interceptions during his career. Rodgers has also bounced back from various injuries. Most significantly, a broken collarbone in 2017. Rodgers described the injury as the worst in his career.

Rodgers deserves respect for his career in Green Bay. Rodgers had to take over after Brett Favre left. Rodgers filled Favre’s shoes and has proven to be a great player on the gridiron.

    Green Bay Packers

The Packers have to decide what they want to do at the quarterback position. Rodgers signed a 3-year 150,815,000 million dollar extension last offseason. Green Bay has Jordan Love under contract as well. Green Bay’s offseason plans will dictate Rodger’s decision to come back.
