Aaron Rodgers is still being undecided to join the Pittsburgh Steelers was discussed by ESPN reporter Peter Schrager. Schrager appeared on ‘Get Up’ on Wednesday and remarked that the Steelers are the ones to blame for being so patient with Rodgers and waiting for him for months.
According to recent reports, Aaron Rodgers might make his decision about the Pittsburgh Steelers sometime later this week. However, this is also not definite since the veteran quarterback has been teasing his decision for a long time now. Rodgers last played for the New York Jets, who let him go in March.
“This isn’t the Jets last year or two years ago where it’s this desperate franchise and, ‘Oh, the savior, Aaron Rodgers, come!’ This is the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers that has all those Super Bowl trophies and has veteran guys in the locker room who think they can be competitive this year.” Peter Schrager spoke about Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ on Wednesday.
Aaron Rodgers has been in the NFL since 2005 and is definitely a veteran in the game. For the majority of his career, the quarterback played for the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers initially started his NFL career after the Packers selected him as the 24th pick in the very first round of the 2005 draft. In his career until now, the quarterback has won the Super Bowl once.

Aaron Rodgers Potential Team, Steelers, Already Have Backup Options
While Aaron Rodgers continues to dilly-dally his decision with the Pittsburgh Steelers, it seems like the team has already jotted down several backup options. If Rodgers fails to make a commitment to the Steelers or turns away at the last minute, the team may go with Kirk Cousins, who is currently with the Atlanta Falcons. Cousins was not seen at the team’s OTAs recently, which has led to rumors that the QB may not be happy with the team.

Another option for the Pittsburgh Steelers is Carson Wentz who last played for the Kansas City Chiefs or even former Miami Dolphins quarterback, Tyler Huntley. The Steelers are all out to put up a better record in the upcoming NFL season. While their roster is interesting, the team still does not have a solid quarterback. The Steelers have continually been criticized for hanging on to Aaron Rodgers, even as the quarterback continues to give mixed responses about his future in the NFL.
