Aaron Rodgers and the ‘will-he or won’t-he sign with the Steelers’ conundrum is still going on. The debate has invited opinions from almost every other NFL insider, including sports writer
Schefter recently called Ben Roethlisberger’s comments on the topic as old news, and reaffirmed that Rodgers is definitely waiting for another team, possibly the Minnesota Vikings, to make him an offer.
According to Schefter, he and his team have been saying the same thing as Roethlisberger for the last couple of weeks. He also remarked that the Pittsburgh Steelers are definitely Aaron Rodgers’ best opportunity right now, but the quarterback is delaying his decision for some unknown decision.
“That’s not breaking news. We’ve been saying that for weeks already. Shows a lot of people suspect that that’s the case, essentially, where basically the one and only opportunity that Aaron Rodgers has right now is with the Pittsburgh Steelers. That opportunity has been there for weeks. He has yet to take it. So clearly, he’s holding out for something else, waiting on something else, or has questions and reservations about going to the Steelers.” Adam Schefter said about Ben Roethlisbergers’s comments on Aaron Rodgers’ decision.

Aaron Rodgers was a part of the New York Jets in the 2024 NFL season, but put up sub-par performances for the team. As a result, the Jets let him go. However, Rodgers definitely has some great football left in him, despite being one of the senior players in the league. In the previous season, despite many challenges, Rodgers managed a total of 3,897 passing yards, scoring 28 touchdowns along with 11 interceptions.

Aaron Rodgers Holding Out For Vikings Theory Initially Discussed By Big Ben
The comments about Aaron Rodgers that were discussed by Adam Schefter were initially thrown out in the open by Ben Roethlisberger, aka Big Ben, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Roethlisberger initially theorized that the reason why Rodgers has not made a decision about the Pittsburgh Steelers is because the quarterback is simply eager to hear back from the Minnesota Vikings.

Between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings, the latter has a much better record, especially in the 2024 NFL season. As a result, Rodgers might feel that by playing for the Minnesota Vikings, he might be able to add another ring to his jewelry collection. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to want him way more than the Vikings at the moment.
