Ben Roethlisberger, retired NFL quarterback, seemed pleasantly surprised on hearing that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will soon surpass his passing record in the NFL. Roethlisberger has covered 64,088 passing yards in his career, and Rodgers is two spots below him. In this upcoming NFL season, Rodgers is expected to climb over Philip Rivers and cross Roethlisberger’s spot on the list.

In a ‘Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger’ episode this week, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, who won two Super Bowl rings with the team, reacted to the report of Rodgers soon beating him, and coolly stated that “records are meant to be broken”.

“Oh, Aaron’s going to pass my all-time passing record this year. Good. Records are meant to be broken.” Ben Roethlisberger reacted to the news that Aaron Rodgers will soon break his passing record on the NFL list.

In the same podcast episode, Ben Roethlisberger also shared his expectations for Aaron Rodgers in the upcoming NFL season. According to Roethlisberger, the newly signed Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback will show a new and improved side of himself, especially after his Achilles injury in 2023.

Aaron Rodgers played for the New York Jets in the last two NFL seasons. However, the marriage was truly incompatible and the quarterback faced several challenges, including injuries. The Jets eventually released Rodgers in March this year and the Steelers immediately made an offer.

Meanwhile, Ben Roethlisberger seems to be spending his retirement from the NFL trying to give back to society as much as he can. Quite recently, the retired quarterback, who is known for his warm and friendly nature, paid a visit to the Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Roethlisberger spoke to the hospital staff to learn more about their mission and also their current needs. The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback also had some friendly, cuddly time with the hospital’s therapy dogs, Millie and Peppermint.

Apart from giving back to society through his charitable work, Ben Roethlisberger has also stepped into broadcasting, especially with his podcast ‘ Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger’. In the podcast, Roethlisberger discusses various topics related to football and a footballer’s life.

In the latest episode of his podcast, Roethlisberger spoke much in detail about what he thinks Aaron Rodgers can do for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the upcoming season. Rodgers has plenty to prove in what seems like his final season with the NFL and also admitted that he chose to play for the Steelers simply because he feels that they will go all out to win the Super Bowl.
