Aaron Rodgers will spend the 2025 season as QB1 of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  However, the four-time MVP quarterback has made it clear that this will likely be his last year in the NFL.

As it turns out, he already has plans for his post-NFL life.

Once his NFL career is over, Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he looks forward to being out of the spotlight:

Speaking with his good friend Pat McAfee on Tuesday, Rodgers claimed that he doesn’t like being in the public eye and says he plans to disappear once it’s all said and done.

“I don’t want the attention — I know that’s a narrative out there. When this is all done, it’s Keyser Söze. You won’t see me. I won’t be in the public. I don’t want to live a public life,” the 41-year-old said.

“That’s why it’s so strange, what’s going on right now in my private life, because I don’t want to live a life in the public eye,” Rodgers continued. “I’m not gonna be in the public eye. When this is done, I’m done. You won’t see me, and I’m looking forward to that.”

As nice as that sounds, one would think that someone who doesn’t want attention wouldn’t:

    • Hire a film crew to follow them around for a Netflix documentary
    • Appear on the most-listened to podcast in the world (3 times)
    • Host two weeks of “Jeopardy!” episodes
    • Consider running for vice president of the United States

But maybe he was just getting it all out of his system before he retreats back to the shadows.

While he still is in the public-eye though, Rodgers will give it one last ride with the Steelers under head coach Mike Tomlin. Where he’ll also get the chance to play against the Jets, Packers and the team he still owns: the Chicago Bears.
