Aaron Rodgers has been the talk of the league over the last month.  His decision to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers in June was quickly followed by a retirement announcement.  The 2025 season will officially be the last for the legendary quarterback.

However, it was his decision off-the-field this off-season that has had fans talking left and right, including his former teammate.

The save-the-date from Aaron Rodgers never reached David Bakhtiari.

    From Jordan Love, he did:

And the former Green Bay Packers left tackle made sure to remind his good buddy of that while he celebrated Love’s wedding to professional volleyball player Ronika Stone on June 29.

“At least one of my quarterbacks invited me to their wedding,” Bakhtiari wrote on his Instagram story over a video of Love and Stone during their first dance with guests surrounding them among the gorgeous decor full of pink and white flowers and candles.

Bakhtiari included a crying face emoji.

Bakhtiari, who made three Pro Bowls with the Packers from 2013 through 2023, shouldn’t feel too bad about being snubbed from Rodgers’ wedding.

Rodgers, who’s about to begin his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, kept his wedding private from those closest to him, with even his best friends apparently unaware that he was married when they first saw his ring. And any wedding guests and the whereabouts of a ceremony are unknown. There are no public pictures of the event.

Rodgers, who first fueled speculation that he was married when he walked red carpets at the Kentucky Derby on May 2 wearing a wedding band, said June 12 that he got married a couple months ago. Rodgers said his wife wants to remain private.

But if Rodgers had a public ceremony, Bakhtiari would have been atop the guest list. The two spent 10 years together as teammates with the Packers, building a friendship on and off the field, from being golf cart riding partners during training camp, to having “drinking contests” at Milwaukee Bucks games to Rodgers riding in the back of Bakhtiari’s pickup truck, holding a case of beer, while driving down near Lambeau Field.

Bakhtiari spent less time with Love. They were teammates from 2020, when Love was drafted in the first round by the Packers, to Bakhtiari’s final season with the Packers in 2023.

While they didn’t spend much time on the field together — Bakhtiari played in just one game in Love’s first season as the starter — he was among the current and former teammates who earned an invitation to Love’s wedding.

Ahead of the wedding, Bakhtiari wrote on Instagram last month in reaction to Stone’s bridal shower photos: “Can’t wait for the wedding day. Bout the set that dance floor on 🔥🔥🔥”

Bakhtiari didn’t post his dance moves but he showed off glimpses of the first dance between Love, who was wearing a classic tuxedo with a bow tie, and Stone, who was wearing a sleek strapless white dress.

“Love is Love,” Bakhtiari wrote on Instagram while congratulating the couple.
