The Pittsburgh Steelers elevated their passing game for 2025 when they traded with the Seattle Seahawks for star wide receiver DK Metcalf. The move gave Pittsburgh a solid pass-catching option and an out if they wanted to trade George Pickens.
The Steelers don’t know who will throw to Metcalf before free agency. Russell Wilson, Kyle Allen, and Justin Fields have not re-signed in Pittsburgh after spending one season there with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith.
Aaron Rodgers to the Pittsburgh Steelers?

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers are set to talk with Rodgers about playing with them in 2025.
“One day after trading for a star wide receiver, the Pittsburgh Steelers may be closing in on a big-name quarterback as well,” per ESPN. “As the Steelers continue talks with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields entering this week’s free agency period.
“Aaron Rodgers also has emerged as a quarterback option for Pittsburgh, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Rodgers and the Steelers are expected to talk, sources told Schefter, and explore a union between the four-time MVP and longtime coach Mike Tomlin.”

Just resign Wilson if you are going for Rogers. At least he is already there. If you go for Aaron over Wilson, Steelers just being cheap.
