An NFL insider is rehashing Aaron Rodgers’ comments last year that were directed at ABC host Jimmy Kimmel. The late-night television comic claimed his life was in danger when Rodgers said he’d pop “some sort of bottle” when the client list of Jeffrey Epstein was revealed to have Kimmel’s name on it.
McAfee chose not to have Rodgers on his show for the remainder of the 2023 regular season.
The DOJ concluded there was no Jeffrey Epstein list

On Monday, the Department of Justice claimed that Epstein had no client list and did not blackmail any associates, and continued to assert the claim that Epstein died by suicide. The DOJ’s findings appeared to fly in the face of previous comments from Attorney General Pam Bondi.
For obvious reasons, there is still much skepticism about the DOJ’s findings on Epstein and the client list.
A distraction for Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers?

On Tuesday, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk rehashed the situation between Kimmel and Rodgers, arguing in an article titled ‘Aaron Rodgers may be surprised to hear there’s no Jeffrey Epstein client list’ that the New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback should stay away from distractions like McAfee’s show following the results of the DOJ’s findings.
“The broader point is this,” Florio wrote. “Rodgers’s in-season habit of appearing every Tuesday on McAfee’s show has been more trouble than it’s worth.
“If Rodgers is serious about being fully focused on football during what he’s “pretty sure” will be his best season, the team’s best interests (and his own) would include avoiding a platform in which he gets way too comfortable and says way too many things that will potentially cause way too much criticism and distraction from the task of winning as many football games as possible.”
The Steelers seem to think Rodgers brings more to the team than the distractions can take away, or they wouldn’t have signed him. Rodgers, 41, is expected to retire following this season.
One would assume that despite Florio’s protests, Rodgers will do all he can to set him self up for the next stage of his life. Any extra publicity will help.
